Not really sure why, but after equipping a ring that gave me 2 ranks of ‘Brewing Storm’ I found myself unable to pick up soul fragments spawned by shattered souls. After unequipping the ring the issue goes away

Was wondering why I couldn’t absorb souls. Thank you for figuring it out.
The item “Grasping Tentacle Loop” which gives 2 ranks of “Brewing Storm” makes you unable to absorb soul fragments for some unknown reason.

It appears to be anything that gives ranks of that particular node, because a trinket that gave me ranks in “Storm Surger” also kept me from picking up fragments

Same thing. Thats a pretty big bug. So are we just not going to be able to equip jewelry until this is fixed? Not being able to pick up soul fragments pretty much makes DH almost useless.

From what I can tell it is only that node specifically
I’m guessing that because you can only pick up shattered souls while moving, being allowed to cast while moving messes with however they check to see if the player is moving, therefore making it impossible to collect nearby souls

you’re a god damned saint, thank you so much for posting the fix you found. heroic world tier has been so rough without those soul fragments.

Thanks for finding this. I did a search and found this post because I knew something was up. Of course, now this is the only neck dropping for me.
Thank you for finding this out. I was really frustrated playing my DH and just having to auto attack mobs due to no fury lol
Have to avoid both Storm Surger and Brewing Storm on gear AND spec out of the tree I really liked using because of this…
Chiming in to confirm this is STILL happening, I was going mad trying to figure out what on earth was happening
Yeah, still happening. I was hoping the hotfixes today would include something but no dice. I filed a bug just in case no one else had and at worst, to help highlight the problem.
And I want to thank the people in this thread, knowing the cause made it at least possible to avoid it.

I was wondering what the heck this was. What a bizarre and random place for this issue to occur.
