There’s an overwhelming majority unhappy with this announcement. I’m certain they knew this would be the outcome. I do not understand why they would stick with it.
I firmly believe many player would be re-subbing now in order to obtain them during the event. Instead they choose to destroy the hype for the event.

It is a raid mount from the AoTC quest, which is removed in the prepatch of the next expansion and has been stated to never be available again, they didn’t allow the Garrosh mount to be available during MoP Remix, why is the Spellwing the exception then? And to be clear, I have no issue with the Spellwing coming back, I am against any type of removed content like this, what angers me is the inconsistency of not bringing back the MT appearances as well while bringing back an AoTC mount that was said to never come back as well as the MT appearances, yet one will be coming back but not the other?

Then why is the spellwing available? It was a reward from the final boss of the final raid of the expansion, that shows people sticking out for a long haul better then the mage tower appearances. This would all make sense if the chosen dead and spellwing weren’t available, but every argument against the mage tower appearances falls flat now because of the spellwing and chosen dead sets.

they don’t want to impinge the sense of achievement of melting down all of the mage tower challenges in 7.3.5 with giga buffed artifact, tier, and their legos

Everybody just bought AoTC for the mount during legion. The amount of people who did it legit were the minority. Or at least it certainly appeared that way when I did it. The fact that the mage tower was a forced solo challenge that you couldn’t buy a carry for (unless you paid for a piloted carry (which some people definitely did)), automaticity means it was harder than getting AoTC.

Isnt the spellwing just aotc? That wasnt nearly as challenging as the MT.
The main thing they omitted from that list is the Chosen title. That is the most difficult achievement in Legion and absolutely shouldnt be in Remix.

Yes, the Spellwing is the AoTC mount. And no, the MT was not harder then AoTC Argus, not by a long shot. Significant amount of the fights could be easily outgeared with Antorus gear and curb stomped. I did a good chunk of these challenges, some when they first released and some during antorus, I literally one shot the Disc priest challenge with antorus lfr gear, it was not hard. I cannot believe how high of a pedestal the MT is being put on, even higher then AoTC, not that AoTC is this super mythical achievement, but the MT wasn’t either, especially by Antorus.

Magetower was far from difficult being 50 item levels higher than what it was designed for. It was a joke of a challenge with just normal antorus raid gear. How about they give the original magetower earners a little title just like the chosen dead one? Problem solved.

The armor set that comes from the achievement is specifically listed as being available. Maybe the title will or won’t, but all the sets from it are.
Not mage tower skins though, those are one of those “prestigious and difficult” things that “had to be done at that time”.
