I purchased an armor appearance set [Ensemble: Regalia of Shackled Elements] from the raid gear merchant Pythagorus at the bazaar in Legion Remix event. I consumed the item and got the animation that it was added to my collection. I then switched to a hunter character to put the set on and it was no where to be found in my collection.
I’ve purchased armor sets on my main that don’t fit my class and had no issue adding the set to my collection and using it on other characters. It should have been added to and shown in my collection regardless. This was the first time I’ve had this issue.
The set I purchased still took my 30k bronze and is marked as “already owned” by the merchant. No matter what character I log in with, the armor set I purchased is not there.
I submitted a ticket and customer support said there was nothing they could do and sent me here.
I’m disappointed, I was hoping to get my bronze refunded at the very least.
Be warned! Purchasing armor sets on a character that can’t wear them might cause it to bug out and will take your bronze!
Were you looking at sets or individual items? Since its a shaman set it wont show under the sets.
I just created a hunter and I have access to the items.

Kelliste is correct. The token contains a shaman only version as well as individual items that are usable by all mail-wearing classes that do not appear as a set in the collection viewer. These have to be selected one by one to use as a “self-made set” at the transmog npc/station.

Yeah if you change your class on the armor set window it should show if you have collected it.
I purchased all of my sets on a mage and have access to all of them (ToV sets being the exception)

You have to buy the transmogs several times to actually learn all the available pieces, even though the vendor says already learned. I don’t think you can figure it out without help from an addon like All the Things.
And thanks bliz, it’s great to buy the same thing multiple times
What are you talking about? You only need to buy the each token once.
Didn’t work that way for me or anyone in my guild. Should work that way, in a perfect bliz world
No you dont. I dont know how someone can say something so blatantly false with such conviction. If you buy the “Ensemble: Titanic Onslaught Armor” token, and you learn it, you learn from every single difficulty version of that armor available for any class that uses that armor type.
A DK can wear that entire set now unlike when Legion was current you just have to search each item individually.
Plus, if you bought the token, used it, you cannot buy and use the item again. While you can buy it again, you cant use it because the system will say already known.

Thank you for the fast responses everyone! I thought I had looked in my individual items last night but I must have overlooked them because logging on today, I see they are there!
Customer support told me my inquiry was a widespread issue amongst many players so that spooked me and had me thinking it was bugged!
Thanks so much for the help (:
I have 100% completion of everything available in remix. I bought everything on my priest. Some of them I had to buy several times to actually learn all the pieces even though it showed as already learned. Each time I learned new pieces.
After experiencing this I shared with guild and they discovered the same thing. Just me experience, if you 100% got everything on the first purchase that’s great,
Not trying to spread misinformation
At least it’s a safe and somewhat constructive way to dump bronze after hitting the cap for the third time.
In fact that’s what I’ll do after finishing my last class mount for the meta. Better start transferring that bronze again…

The collections API can be slow to pick up things, usually requiring a relog - or even a daily rollover - to sort.
No you didnt. You just didnt. Thats not how Legion Remix ensembles work.
I recommend downloading the addon called “Extended Transmog Sets”. If you buy the rogue armor set, it will only show as a set on rogues, but you can still find the individual items to transmog. This addon will add them as sets for other classes with same armor type.

I’m the author of Caerdon Wardrobe. I spent a TON of time improving ensemble support in the add-on to show anything that had something to learn. Before today’s patch, I had learned every ensemble from every vendor and had nothing left to learn. After today’s patch, my add-on showed a ton of ensembles with things to learn (on the same toon).
I assumed I had a bug in my add-on and bought one of the pieces to confirm it. I was quite surprised to see it learn a few things from the ensemble that I had previously purchased. I’m not actually sure that the behavior is quite what the poster is claiming (can’t say for sure one way or another, yet), but I do know that at the very least additional appearances were added to be learned for a bunch of the ensembles after today’s patch. I had to re-buy a ton to learn those missing appearances.
So what?
That is not how the ensembles work.
Most likely it was your addon giving you bad information.
I just went through each and every single ensemble and there are no additional appearances added to the ensembles. I cant even learn them.
I’m glad you didn’t have to waste bronze to re-buy things. Unfortunately, I did. That has nothing to do with my add-on, but I already clearly communicated that above.
You didnt buy them in the first place.
Not sure why you’re not interested in being helpful. As I stated in my original post, I had bought EVERYTHING prior to the latest update. Every single item from every vendor. They didn’t add a whole bunch of new things. This is not hard to understand.
Or you just thought you did. But if you think its a bug there is a bug report feature. What do you expect other players to do exactly?
They didnt add anything to them.
