According to sites that list item availability during Phase 1, the Fathom Dweller Mount should be available for purchase, but I don’t even see it listed on the vendor that sells it.
It doesn’t show it on my vendor. Who is Kosumoth?
Go to Wowhead and search for “Kosumoth.” You have to find 10 orbs iirc and then you can kill the mob. I think the mount is a guaranteed drop during Remix, so you can save the Bronze.
I thought the point of Remix was not to have to go through unlock processes. I saw a bunch of people saying you need to unlock it in retail then it will be available to buy in Lemix, because the start is in broken shores. The mount being available in phase 1 with phase 3 content needed to unlock it seems like a glaring design oversight.
cant unlock it in remix at this time because the area he is in will port you back to Dalaran. not sure this is a bug or just we need to wait. but the other mounts that we have to wait for are (RED’d out) shown
Eye of Azshara (the overworld zone) wasn’t a no-access area; I actually killed Kosumoth with a bunch of random people that were there about a week ago on HWT for kicks.
That being said, I doubt it’s intended that the secret being done once on the account is required to get the mount. None of the other mounts require doing 95% of the original effort.
If you didn’t unlock the secret, then someone who did summoned Kosumoth and you got lucky to be there at the right time most likely. It’s a fact that you can’t purchase this mount or get the world quest currently unless you’ve unlocked the secret in retail.
To start the chain you must:
-
Goto the Broken Shores and found there NPC Drak’thul coords 37 71, talk to him and he will say us to go away.
-
Go to 58 54, there is a cave with the green torch outside, go in and try to find a pile of dirt at the end of cave, pickup loot (relic) and go back (if entrance is closed by rocks, try to relog)
-
Talk to Drak’thul again, while he say as to go away again (several times! Be sure he don’t want to tell you anything else). You can see red orb on his table and tiny rocks. Rocks are the spots of other spheres located somewhere on the Broken Islands. problem is you cant go there yet, or at least when i tried i was ported back to Dalaran.
-
Go to find orbs in a particular order
- 37.82 37.5 Cave in Azsuna with foxes outside (jump in bushes under the tree)
- 33.14 76.31 Stormheim (mob can oneshot)
- 41.5 80.75 Val’sharah (mob beats very hard)
- 30.01 78.69 Broken Shore, in cave deep under the water
- 59.26 13.01 Crystal cave in Azsuna
- 67.49 14.67 (world map coords) Stormheim, under the drowned statue, under the big shark mob (geyser can kill you)
- 55.9 38.71 HighmountainHow to find
- 53.93 26.39 Cave in Azsuna, under the rock
- 78.33 89.64 Drowned ship in Eye of Azshara (not instance!)
- After you do it all, go back to Drak’thul and use orb on his table, he will thank us for help.
(from wowhead)
Kosumoth isn’t a summon, he’s an unlock. Once it was completed once on a server, he always spawns. Since many server-based unlocks were moved to region level awhile ago, this is why he was already up in the zone in Remix, even without anyone being able to have the world quest to kill him.
Not sure if this was meant to be directed at me. I have every known secret in the game completed on my main.
My point stands; the secret likely isn’t intended to be required to able to buy the mount in Remix. You don’t have to clear Mythic Nighthold to buy the Hellfire infernal.
ok so what you are saying is the rare that can drop the item is live and we only need to go kill him…and if we do the mount will then appear in vendors list? if thats correct ill go camp it. my understanding was you had to unlock it which you cant do right now, but you can also whisper me in game and summon it for me and id be grateful
That I am unsure of. I already had Fathom Dweller available on the vendor prior to killing him on Remix. It’s worth testing, and he probably isn’t that strong on normal world tier.
as you can see, it’s currently available on the vendor for anyone who has unlocked access on retail.
people who haven’t unlocked him on retail, don’t seem to be able to see him (in the world) on remix servers.
Here are the steps.
The date that I post this is in Legion Remix with the Broken Shore being unavailable so if this is you you need to do this in Retail.
1. You need to be in the Broken Shores so it’s easiest to use the Dalaran Hearthstone. Also if you have the Flight Master’s Whistle for Legion it makes this a lot faster.
2. From Dalaran fly to Deliverance Point in the Broken Shore.
3. Talk to Drak’thul at /way 37.19 71.78
4. Fly to the cave at /way 58.57 53.90
5. Go all the way to the back of the cave to get the pile to show up an you can loot the Weathered Relic.
6. Fly back to /way 37.19 71.78 Drak’thul
7. Talk to Drak’thul a couple of times till he says “Go Away”. There should be a red orb on the table to the left of him.
8. Ge the orbs in the following locations in the order they are listed.
9. Fly to Illidari Stand in Azsuna and then fly to /way 37.95 37.45
10. Enter the cave that is hidden below the green bushes. You cannot see the entrance.
11. Go to the back where there is a fountain and pick up the Hungering Orb. It doesnt show in your inventory.
12. Fly to the Crimson Thicket in Suramar and then to /way 32.79 75.68
13. Go in the semi-hidden cave and kill Kangaxx once. Then go to the back an pick up the Hungering Orb.
14. Fly to Lorlathil in Val-sharah and the to /way 41.5 80.75
15. Go behind the tree to get into the hidden cave. Go to the back where there’s a table and then jump over the stones on the left.
16. Kill the Arcane Servitor and pick up the Hungering Orb to the left by the bed.
17. Fly to Deliverance Point in the broken Shore and then to /way 49.47 73.84
18. You will enter the out-of-bounds area and the Fatigue will set in. You have to quickly swim down and into the cave before your Fatigue runs out and you get ported out. An Aquatic Mount is a good idea for this.
19. Go to the back where the shelter is and loot the Hungering Orb in the pile of junk. If you stay there for a minute the steam vents or whatever will kill you and take you to a resurrection point.
20. Fly to the Felblaze Ingress in Azsuna and then to /way 59.32 13.09
21. Go down in the cave behind the bush towards the cliff. Go towards the back and click on the Hungering Orb. It is dark and not highlihted. The precise location is /way 60.16 14.59
22. Fly to Shield’s Rest in Stormheim. before you set waypoint, fly to the west of the island until you are outside of the brown ring surrounding the island.
23. Once in the world area and not the zone, fly to here /way 67.31 14.74
24. Use an Aquatic mount for this part. Go straight down past the Toothless Great White. Go inside the cave and get the Hungering Orb at /way 67.13 15.76
25. Fly to Skyhorn in Highmountain and then to /way 55.83 38.42
26. The entrance is to the right of the caven entrance you see through bushes. The hungering Orb is under the skull bone.
27. Fly to Azurewing Repose in Azsuna and then to /way 54.05 26.21
28. Drop down into the cave entrance in the bushes. The Hungering Orb is in the fern precisely at /way 54.33 24.36
29. Fly to the flight point Eye of Azshara (not the dungeon). Go exactly to /way 79.25 89.14
30. This one is a litle tricky. Be a Druid or have an aquatic mount to get this one. Go inside the boat and as soon as you are inside go up and over the ledge. Once over the ledge go to the back and then through the bushes and the frame on the left. Once through tuen around and go down below the frame you just cam through. Go a little bit through and then through the bushes on your left. This should get you to the cave entrance.
31. Once you are in the cave the Hungering Orb is on your right at exactly /way 74.98 83.39
32. Fly to Deliverance Point in the Broken Shore and then to /way 37.19 71.78 Drak’thul
33. Place the Hungering Orb on his table. He will then say “I thank you for ceasing the whispers, the endless cries of the void are now yours to bear”. You are finished.
34. Go back to the Infinite Bazaar and purchase from /way 45.80 68.32 Hemet Nesingwary XVII
