Legion Raids and Soloing

So I just finished doing the Majority of the Legion raids with the release of the Patch, and noticed with my Main I still struggled to kill a lot of the bosses. It was supposed to be a tad easier with the Launch of 9.1.5 but it clearly wasn’t. I made it through Tomb rather well until Avatar and KJ which can still kick you in the teeth rather Hard. Avy is doable, but KJ was not, for me anyways and I was on my 237 Warrior. Once reaching 70% or so into his second Air phase he just wiped the floor with me, like I was an infant.

Needless to say if someone was doing this on a less geared Alt i don’t think they could make it as far. :frowning: Were into the second tier of SL and Legion raids should have been solo-able near the middle of CN, but weren’t. Yes some people are going to come in here and say they can solo it. Good for you. Not all classes can yet, and it is notice-able esp in some Tomb encounters.

As for other raids such as Emerald Nightmare, I didn’t have to bad of an issue even with trying it on an Under geared alt. Some of the fights still Hurt, and are a Gear check but are doable unlike Tomb. As for Nighthold it’s the same as EN some of the fights can be a gear check if under geared but aren’t extremely difficult. Gul’dan may throw out issues every now and then but seemed Ok. As for Antoras, the fights here varied, I had some great luck on the starter bosses, but once reaching the end of the second wing, into the third a lot of the bosses started to hurt, and were still almost unsolo-able. Not saying that they aren’t, but you really need to have the gear.

All in All i think we should get a buff like they have in some of the Older raids, like how ICC has the increased buff to players and decreased buff damage type of things to make it more doable. But hey, this was just from my own play experience from trying it out. Lemme know how you all do on your class!

My friend and I just tried to do Tomb and just for him alone, it was a struggle.

He should be able to solo Legion on lfr gear, but he has normal gear and it still wasn’t enough. My Paladin, who is a higher ilvl than him, should be able to solo legion mythic raids, but this is also not the case.

It should not be this hard, and I cannot understand wtf Blizz is doing here? This is a no-brainer, they’ve done it before, why is this the one Blizz can’t fix?

I’d say Tomb is the most demanded raid (next to Nighthold) for the best mog gear in game.

Such a disappointment.

This is a bummer to learn. This was the one thing I was looking forward to with this patch. Seems like I won’t be wasting my time trying to solo the raids. That used to be my favorite thing to do during slow times. : /

LMAO I really cant say im shocked…really i cant…I just tried Mythic 0 of freehold too and it was still just as hard as before 9.1.5. so i came to the forums to see if they messed up Legion again and this was exactly what i expected.

Glad i didn’t resub for this.

The mythic Antorus raid, unless you have the Eonar skip, is still going to be impossible for 99% of the playerbase. You cannot make one single mistake (for instance, once you kill the upper platform you need to jump down to the lower path and kill ONE hound before going up to the ship, and if you’re a slow class you won’t be able to do it at all. It’s a shame, since the rest is pretty easy - but all very pointless since most is locked behind the Eonar fight and it wasn’t nerfed.

Haven’t tried the others but if this is an indication, it was overhyped for nothing. Which sucks, cuz it’s the only reason I was excited for any of this.

Well this is disappointing. I was hopeful that older raids would be significantly easier to farm now, but I guess not.

I couldn’t Imagine it actually being that hard on some Classes, so i tried out my Pally and Rogue, and My pally did ok, but my rogue just got tossed around like they were a damn rag doll. :frowning: And this was only for tomb. And i agree, it was disappointing. I was really looking forward to being able to farm out the Mogs i wanted with out help.

As I said in another thread, they didn’t make it easier per say, they made the unsoloable mechanics able to be soloed. Nothing more ilvl won’t fix over time.

I don’t have the skip sadly, but it didn’t take me to long to pass it, think it was 4-5 attempts before i figured out what was going on and how it worked… But yes i do agree classes with less movement based abilities are probably going to struggle, also some classes that can burst or AoE fast enough it may be a challange. I got hooked up on Imonar, and Kingoroth for a good bit. Which i found odd cause reading others post it was supposed to be relatively easy so i feel kind of dumb. Lol

I’ve been able to do Emerald Nightmare on all difficulties for a while now… haven’t tried Nighthold… As for Tomb, I can safely get through Heroic mode, Mythic gives me a little issue though… Haven’t tried since 9.1.5 dropped. I also don’t know what all the changes made to legacy raid were/are

That will happen eventually but they usually make raids easier when they legacy tune them. For farming purposes. Legion was 5 years ago. It’s way beyond the time to adjust them.

Emerald Nightmare isn’t the problem. It’s Nighthold, Tomb and Antorus.

I imagine Blizzard anticipates that people will lose interest in current content and start running old content for mog/achievements/etc. What better way to squeeze out every last drop of /played than to make old raids a time-consuming slog?

This is not true. You can do it in any class. I did it on my warrior and my buddy did it on his DK. Eonar is actually one of the easier fights to solo now once you understand where you need to be

I was able to solo mythic ToS on my paladin in S1 challenger gear. You should also swap your necks out for the Heart of Azeroth because it gives you a great HP boost but also allows you to use the powers inside the raid
