I’m debating grinding tf outta legion world quests for the next month while we still have the reputation bonus. But i’d like to get at least 1-2 of the paragon mounts if I’m going to dedicate lots of time this month, so if the drop rate is super low I probably wont’ bother going for them all, I’ll probably just go for the dreamweavers since it’s my favorite. Anybody know a rough estimate for the drop rate of the legion paragon mounts?
5%?
I do not know off the top of my head, but they are not common.
Grinding out world quests was not how people got all the mounts in Legion. They did it by leveling up an army of alts to 110, optimizing all their followers, farming rep tokens, and mailing them to the designated paragon character.
Farming rep by doing world quests would have been too nightmarish to conceive.
I believe it’s lower than 5%.
What he said, I have 3 of the paragon mounts (only wanted the 3 I got, didn’t bother with others). I also had 14 classes maxed out in legion.
Honestly, if you want that dreamweaver one, then go for it. Think of it just as a side quest you do every now and then. When it does drop, awesome!
I believe the drop rate is about 5%. I’ve been going after the Dreamweaver + Valarjar one myself recently. I got the Valarjar one after 4-5 boxes but no sign of the Dreamweaver’s mount yet.
I would definitely recommend doing it right now though, the +100% rep buff is fantastic. Also, do the Kirin Tor emissaries whenever they pop up, you can pick rep tokens by completing it. Some of the rep tokens from order hall missions are BoA as well, in case you didn’t know. Best of luck to you!
This right here. Yeah I did the emissaries. But I got it mainly from rep tokens from table missions I got after getting that character to exalted and then funneling the BoA rep tokens to 1 character during DMF.
Well I feel really stupid now, never realized I could mail the rep tokens. I got all of the mounts except 1 of the Army of Light mounts the hard way. Doing every emissary for months on all my alts.
I have all reps exalted on probably 20 characters lol.
I honestly don’t remember if I got all of mine this way or just some of them. I remember also grinding out the rep on alts, mostly by focusing on the emissary quests that would pop up. This was over multiple months. Then when alt # whatever was getting close to hitting a cache, I’d use the tokens to top them off.
I have been doing the Legion main paragons for 2 years with zero drop, though I do have 2 of the crushers from Argus rep. If you ask me I would place them at 1%.
I dunno but I got the carpet and I didn’t want it and I’m still mad about it
I was farming the last ones. I tried to only do them with my army of alts on the days with the emissary quests. I got some mounts in 1 or 2 boxes of paragon. Some I have gone through on like 20-50th attempt.
The Legion paragon cache mounts are an existential nightmare. Farming 10k rep for a 5% chance at hitting a mount is a horror that I can’t comprehend. Even the act of using an army of alts to generate rep tokens to the point where you can get a paragon cache is pretty far down on my list of things to do.
It’s a shame though, those mounts are mostly really nice.
Oh god. I hope that you can easily get that last mount now. AotL rep tokens from what I remember pop up pretty frequently for WQs. 20x2 tokens and double rep. Easy 2 boxes I think.
As a question for anyone in here did y’all at all bother to go after rank 4s for essences?
I remember one day during the Darkmoon Faire sending a 109 to the Faire to get the Merry-go-round buff, popping a Nathrezim Tome of Manipulation, and opening dozens of emails with rep tokens in them.
Ideally the best way to go at it is to lvl your 12 characters on one server. Do all the class hall stuff get your class hall mounts. And use your mission boards to funnel rep tokens to an alt, while doing the emissaries on them all. If you already have the operation set up in Legion it’s easier to get over time.
Drop rate: ridiculous.
Since they absolutely wanted players to “grind it out”, they could have just tied the mounts to an achievement like, “Open 10 paragon chests” for each faction, and you get the mount.
Hello, I am a player with exactly one character who has the reps at exalted and I have all of the paragon mounts.
They’re not bad. 5-15 chests on average for each. For AOTL, it takes longer because you’re going for 3 mounts.
The people saying they’re absurdly low haven’t done as many turn-ins as they think.
I’d concur it’s probably around 3-5%. Higher than your average boss drop mount at least. And definitely a lot higher than a panda world boss mount drop. On average I’d say expect to open about 10 or more paragon boxes (you could get lucky and get it on your first one etc) for a decent chance at getting a mount. At 10x10k that’s 100k rep required after you hit exalted.
As others have said, the way I did it and others is to throw a few toons order hall missions into farming the tokens and mailing them to one toon. However this assumes you have those alts order halls and their own reps already maxed out since the rep tokens are soul bound if the toon you got it on isn’t exalted for that faction. They only become account bound and therefore mailable, after you are exalted. However with the massive rep boosts on for legion content, doing the emissaries is also a viable option.
For me the one that took the longest wasn’t a mount at all. It was the wardens toy. I think I opened around 20? Or more paragon boxes before it finally dropped. This was made worse by the fact that the wardens is one of the more difficult factions to farm in legion.
People use rarity and paragon reputation addons to count their box openings. Also RNG is RNG. Having low box opening count really only occurs (on average) if there is bad luck protection, like in the circumstance of bfa paragon boxes for rank 4s. The bad luck protection increases by 4% each time and increases by 10% increments once you reach a high opening count. And then it also doesn’t reset once you get a rank 4.
