One of my characters had the quests for unlocking their legion order hall and warlords garrison before i dropped them for a while. After using the gear update option i also used the quest log clear not realizing i still had those quests unfinished. I sent in a ticket for that, but does anyone know if theirs an immediate solution for this issue that can be done in game?
It’s hard to give specific advice without knowing exactly what you had done for each one, but here are some things to try:
If you hadn’t done anything for the quests yet (and just had the starter quests) you should be able to pick them up from the Hero’s Call board in a main city.
If you’d started them, you’ll need to figure out where you were at. For WoD, if you had done part of the Tanaan Jungle intro, you can just walk through the portal in the Blasted Lands to pick up where you left off. (Make sure Blasted Lands is in the right phase with Khadgar at the portal.) You can also try going to the place where the boat lands after you finish the scenario. (You can generally go right to picking up the quests here and skip the scenario, but I don’t know what happens if you’d done part of the scenario.)
For Legion, first see if you have a Dalaran Hearthstone. If you do, then go to Dalaran and run around the city for a bit to trigger the Order Hall quest start. If you don’t, try talking to Recruiter Lee on the Stormwind Docks. (It’s Holgar Stormaxe in Durotar for Horde.) You can also try going to Dalaran via the Azsuna portal and talking to the Archivist NPC in the Violet Citadel to see if they’ll start up the scenario for you.
I tried what you suggested for the legion order hall, but nothing popped up when i was done. I think the issue is that my character was in the middle of the questline when their quest log reset and they were sent to stormwind. So ive already completed the first couple quest into it but am no longer able to get to the next quest giver or something as it was instinced content.
Which class? Do you remember the last quest you did?
It was the warlock class hall quest. I think the character was in the part where your running around the dread scar rift but when I did the gear reset it teleported me to stormwind.
Will it let you take the portal in the Dalaran Underbelly to the rift? If you had gotten far enough to be in the rift, the portal would be the way back. Otherwise, it’s likely something broke and you’ll need a GM to straiten things out.
i looked in the underbelly and saw no portal. I sent in a ticket the other day and haven’t gotten word back.
