Is it possible to level legion mining without having to do world quests? I leveled in bfa and haven’t done any quests in legion as a result. Getting friendly in 5 zones, to then unlock Wq to farm out quests over multiple days just to advance the last 5 points in an obsolete tier of mining seems excessive. Hopefully this isn’t the case.
You can level Legion mining without world quests. However, the last skill points to achieve max level do need world quests. Refer to wow- professions. com. They have excellent guides to professions in every expansion. It might be easiest to get the last skill points from the Darkmoon Faire profession quest. Talk to the fellow at the shooting gallery in Darkmoon Faire. He hands out the mining quest worth 5 skill points.
Ok. I read the guide and hoped they changed it for people that haven’t been playing every expansion. They designed the leveling experience to not play expansions but didn’t look at professions?
So basically it means you need to spend hours of rep grinding old content and then more hours? waiting for wq after that?! This for 5 points of level that gates you from useful content? What a colossal disappointment and waste of time.
If this is the case then I am hopeful that each expansion is just isolated from the previous expansion but I can’t find information on it. I am vanilla player so I am thinking it is all required but maybe not? I don’t need max level if it isn’t required for the following expansions.
I imagine their philosophy is that if you didn’t want to play legion enough to get Friendly in the base reps (which is really not much work at all) then why is it important to have maxed Mining in Legion?
As noted though the Darkmoon Faire (which starts tonight) will give you 5 points to your highest incomplete tier as a reward for a trivial quest.
It is not. As soon as you arrive in the BfA hub you can learn BfA mining whatever your previous tiers are at, etc, and so on for Shadowlands and going forward.
Awesome! Man I am so overwhelmed lol. So much to take in.
