Legion legendaries & Warforged items in TW

I was doing a couple of TW dungeons on my Horde warlock who is just turned level 118, and still has her legendary ring equipped:

Obviously its legendary ability was deactivated when I hit 116. The ability the ring provides is to give 10% extra damage to targets hit by Rain of Fire. What surprised me was that this was working in the BC instance I ran for TW yesterday. I’m wondering how many other Legion legendaries work in these BC dungeons.

And have upgrades via Warforged been a thing in TW for long? I just had a staff drop on the same toon that warforged to 298 which is an upgrade for her.

all of them and panda land cloak and dranor ring

I know the cloak works: she is wearing hers and it was actually generally her 2nd strongest dps

But are you sure they ALL work? I had another legendary one on (the wrist, Magistrike Restraints, that gives a 20% chance of a second chaos bolt) and I never saw a second one hit at all. Admittedly its still just a chance but I would have thought seen at least one double.

I detect an incoming nerf.

All legendaries work for all timewalking dungeons as you are dropped below lvl 115

I had no idea they worked for TW… good to know o.o

Inb4 a blue sees this and then a hotfix happens to not allow it.

It may be intentional and it may be why they are tuned the way they are though since the cloak always would work

Everyone I play with knows the legion legendary items work in TW. It isn’t a secret. It isn’t an exploit. It won’t be nerfed.

Fun Detected… I wouldn’t count on it if they think you will finish say 5 minutes faster due to them increasing dps then just wait when Activision ask Ion why are they burning through these slogfest and he says well lego’s and activision say nope nerf them can’t mess up our time played metrics

Uhm… It’s been like this for a while.

ALL your gear is scaled to the adequate ilv, that’s it.

No, because you are below 116 when you timewalk. It is one of the features of time walking to be able to use your old gear.

And yet they disabled old tier sets because people were using them in Timewalking.

I can’t verify this right off, but I believe older set bonuses they were disabled before Timewalking came into being.

Timewalking was introduced in WoD. Old set bonuses weren’t disabled until legion pre-patch, so they worked for a bit.

You may be correct, I was thinking some of the older sets were disabled prior to this time.
