I tried to re-train herbalism today. The problem is that every expansion trainer for herbalism offered their training except for the trainer in Dalaran for Legion Herbalism. I can pick the herbs, but that leaves the return on time invested rather gimped. Any suggestions?

I think the rank 1 for each Legion herb was obtained via a quest that would be initiated from gathering the herbs. As an example, picking dreamleaf should yield a quest item that sends you to the herbalism trainer. At that point you’ll have to gather both healthy and unhealthy dreamleaf to learn rank 1. The other herbs had similar quest items, though the actual quest for rank 1 can be quicker than the above example.

The problem is there’s no skill bar for Legion Herbalism. I also had rank 3 of all but Foxflower. Regardless, I’m still stuck.

I’ve also tried a few times to submit a ticket, but the system keeps puking me back to the start claiming I’ve left out required information even though every field (including the optional ones) are filled. Nice support system, by the way.

Oh, so that is what you were asking about. In that case I assume you’ve already tried picking some Legion herbs to get the initial quest item to learn Legion herbalism.

At this point I think you might have to keep trying to submit a ticket. The forgotten techniques won’t work since you don’t have the initial Legion herbalism skill.

Are you trying to submit a ticket through the game or via web browser? If it is the latter then you might want to try temporarily disabling browser add-ons that might interfere with the ticket submission. It is just a random shot in the dark.

If you previously had a profession, dropped it, and then went back to it, you can regain the recipe ranks from non-repeatable Legion quests by purchasing a book (tome of forgotten knowledge or something like that) from the legion trainer.

Anything from drops or from repeatable quests you have to get back the hard way

It turns out you cannot pick Argus herbs to trigger the quest to gain Legion Herbalism. It has been about 2 years since I picked up herbalism and a different skill system at that.

doh! That’s both unintuitive and completely believable (as somthing that could get overlooked). I hope the implication that you were able to get it by doing broken isles herbs is correct? If so, congrats, and thanks for letting us know how it worked out :slight_smile:
