Legion herbalism was amazing. SL herbalism is the worst it has ever been

There it is. The dumbest thing I’ll read all week. Quit the game and mythic raiding over herbs. Hilarious.

Who the hell wants First Flower?

Current U.S. Median prices, per Undermine Journal:
Marrowroot 37.6g
Widowbloom: 34.6g
Vigil’s Torch: 21.5g
Rising Glory: 30.4g

First Flower: 17.7g

Learn2pick Herbs. You pick Death Blossoms so when it respawns, it could respawn to the herb you want. You dont farm herbs on one pass. Learn2play.

And please learn the use of First Flowers. They are expensive on AH becoz it has some special uses. No wonder you are stucked to your low difficulty content becoz you dont utilize powerful resources of the game.

And Winterbloom has known location. You would get stacks of 200s so easily not like Anchor Weed. And you could skip/minimize the whole herbing thing if you run your tables missions and/or tweak that ardeanweald soulbind thing to get you resources.

They’re not expensive, though, they’re cheaper than the 4 starting zone main herbs.

Maybe you should stop barking at other people that they’re doing it wrong, and get some actual facts, instead.

They are expensive on my AH. Is it becoz your Server are noobs that nobody uses Cosmic Healing Pots and just wants to use the lowbie Spiritual Healing Pots?

What the heck is your problem? Do you not understand what “U.S. Median” means?

But sure, let’s take a look at Bronzebeard:
First Flower 17.7g
Marrowroot 49.5g
Widowbloom 68.3g
Vigil’s Torch 46.1g
Rising Glory 44.9g

Prices on your server for the primary herbs are FAR HIGHER than the national median. Except First Flower. Which is less than half the value of the other herbs, on your server.

I liked the ranks and quests that went with professions in Legion.

But we also had all the naysayers hating on having to do quests or grind ranks on their professions as well.

But the 1 herb per zone type deal is pretty much the same from Legion and SL? In that respect I felt they are similar.

If you are smart, you would take advantage of LUSH First Flowers. I could get 2/3 stacks of 200 first flowers at the same minutes/hours rendered on getting 1x stack of Widowbloom.

Poor Mythic raiders, they have to farm these on top of countless hours they spent on raids.

Edit: I forgot… You would consume more First Flowers with Cosmic Healing Pots than Widowblooms that last 1 hour to 3 hours. (It’s 3 hours on me I think). I think the money is on First Flowers. Unfortunately, I consume all my Cosmic Healing Pots. I am not selling them. I dont need gold. But I need Pots.

Best spot for the better herbs tends to be zooming around ZM, imo

Inscription is pretty bad this time around too. Glyphs are so useless now compared to when they were first introduced

Sort of. I hate the ‘rank’ system to herbs/mining that’s continued. Legion ranks were SUPER RNG too. I do miss the herb/mining world quests and stuff though. I honestly haven’t done enough SL herb/mining to know… Do they spawn stuff when you mine/herb certain stuff and have the neat interactions like the running fox for more herbs? I don’t recall them in SL at least but I recall some in BFA.

Guess you didn’t play BfA, where anchor weed was a rare alternate spawn. If people only picked the anchor weed it would respawn as some other common herb. If you picked all the herbs, somebody else could pick the anchor weed you spawned and you could end up with none of the herbs you needed to make flasks and potions after hours of gathering.

There are people who like playing the game, not just one tiny sliver of the game, but people who like to do their own alchemy and contribute that to the guild, rather than leeching off other guild members like you do.

Oh look. They still didn’t get the herb they needed following your instructions.

ZM is almost dead… like a ghost town. Nobody is in there. If you are smart, you take advantage of soloing the picking of First Flowers. Even if there are people in there, most of them are not Herbalist. Let them clear the area while you just pick up everything. That’s what I do.

ITT: People forgetting the painful, horrendous grind to Rank 3 Starlight Rose. I too love herbing useless gray dusts instead of an actual herb. Also how expensive Starlight Rose cost because of how difficult it was to herb.

Herbalists back in 7.0-7.1 Legion did NOT think Legion Herbalism was amazing. But you know, selective memory. 7.3 was the entire game, etc.

I was an herbalist in Legion and made millions off of starlight rose. I most certainly did think it was amazing. Best herbalism ever was in game.

Gathering herbs in WoW is always unpleasant. GW2, ESO, Rift, and EQ2 had the same problem too. I’m more of a fan of how games like Istaria, Ryzom, and FF14 handle it. If you want an ingredient you just go to where it is in the world and gather however much you need. None of this randomly wandering around the zones hoping that next yellow dot is the plant you’re looking for. :frowning:

It feels so much worse in Shadowlands too, since you no longer have a chance to make multiple potions. Things in Legion were expensive to makeas well, but getting that little proc now and again mitigated some of the hurt. Now we stuck with herbs that are a pain to gather and potions that take more ingredients than they really should. :frowning:

Legion herbs was amazing? God, I hate the profession “quests”.

Aside from Korthia, I’ve been pretty happy with herbalism in Shadowlands. Nightshade is the “rare” flower needed for flasks, but after Korthia my reagent banks were overflowing with it. Pre-flying Revendreth was a bit of a pill though.
