Certain Legion era dungeons have near impossible scaling/tuning while in chromie time. Helya in Maw of Souls, for example, has several one-shot mechanics which are not in line with the rest of the leveling experience. It is very rare to get a group that can complete this dungeon in chromie time. This is not the first time this issue has been reported, and I falsely assumed it would be fixed by now. Someone needs to do a pass on the boss damage for these dungeons, especially with many of them being tied into the legion campaign quests.

I second this. I’ve only ran this one a few times, but we were never able to complete it. I love Legion for leveling, but typically choose to level elsewhere if I’ll be running dungeons a lot.

Maw of Souls was originally a max level only dungeon for legion (which is level 45 when not in chromie time), so maybe the scaling issue comes from that.

Just did this dungeon as well. Wiped 6 times on Helya, eventually finished with two paladins using bubble many times. Definitely way too many one-shot mechanics for any leveling dungeon let alone for beginners. Extremely frustrating.

It’s not an easy dungeon, but the problem is that people who didn’t master the dungeon during Legion have no way of understanding what’s happening in that fight. It’s not obvious when she is telegraphing a mechanic. And low levels don’t always have interrupts. So if the only player with an interrupt doesn’t know that torrent needs to be interrupted, and players don’t realize she’s about to spew, they get one shot.
I miss Legion.
Hint: When Helya says, “I will drown you all like rats!” she is about to spew torrent in the direction she is facing. Somebody should interrupt that. And run to the other side when she is about to cast corrupted bellow, or you will be standing in purple and drop dead. You may need to angle your camera up so you can see which direction she is facing.
I ran this 3 times, 3 different characters just now. The last one I ended up soloing her (on my tank).
