Legion Cat Form (Primal Stalker?) Can I still get it?

I saw another Feral in Stormwind today and his cat form was green with orange spikey accents. Looked awesome. I still have my artifact weapon, took it back to the Dreamgrove, but saw no option to get that (or any other) cat forms. Is it too late? Did I miss my chance.

Yes you can still get it! It’s a personal favorite of mine. The one you’re referring to is unlocked from doing the artifact questline. Be aware getting the skin will likely take a few weeks because of raid lockouts and general timegating.

The only skins you can’t get is specifically from the legion mage tower in patch 7.3.5, Ghost of the Pridemother. Thats the glowing one that leaves a sparkly trail as you walk.

Thanks for the response.

Any idea how I start the quest line? The only options it gives me is to unlock the bear and moonkin artifacts. I believe I’ve done the feral one. Any help would be appreciated, this is so confusing. Thanks again

Primal Stalker is from finishing Balance of Power, if you look up that on WoWHead there’s probably a helpful guide or comment that tells you the pre-required quests. I think you need to fully finish the Druid class campaign to make Kalecgos offer you the questline.

Grrrr…I found it. Looks like I need to do a Mythic+ dungeon with a level 15 keystone. I have no idea what any of that means. Can I solo a Mythic+ at level 60 in Legion?

If you need the baseline form still, that’s attached to BoP.

If you do the other variants (beat Kil’jaeden on Heroic, time a +15 key, or Glory of the Legion Hero) without finishing Balance of Power you won’t have access to the form.

But unfortunately you cannot solo M+ or do old xpac keystones, you’d need to join a 5 man group and run current content keys.

Thanks much, looks like it may be too much for me to solo. Kinda sucks, really love that skin. Appreciate the help, have a great day.

No problem. I used to think I’d never get it either but my guild was super helpful getting me into keys. Maybe you’ll get it one day!

Have a good night, gamer

That is only for the purple form. You can get the green colored form by completing the quest Heartwing mentioned.

Ohhh…really? Hot damn, maybe I’ll get it after all. Thanks

If I recall the white blue primal stalker is behind rated battlegrounds that is if it’s still under that.

No that is behind glory of the legion hero

purple is from mythic +15

and the orange and green one is pretty easy to get.

Now the mage tower skins…if they re-released those I would jump on that in a hearbeat.

God, I hope so, put my toon over at the Broken Shore trying to figure out how to start the Balance of Power chain. I never did the quest for the class mount with the weird broken neck because it looked so weird.

I do have to do that class mount quest to get the cat form I want correct? Any idea how it starts? No bread crumb quest that I could see in Dalaran. Sorry to be a pain, but I really am thankful for all the help.

I could be wrong, though I think the class “mount” quest is separate.

As far as I’m aware, the Suramar chain of quests should be it, ending with a short quest after Nighthold.

Edit: Link to Wowhead

So just balance of power quest chain. There are YouTube videos covering this to explain the process.

Yes, I did find that page. That’s where I got discouraged. Under the heading Primal Stalker, is where they mention “Complete a Mythic+ Dungeon with a Level 15 Keystone”.

I wanted the green jungle-y looking form with the orange trim. If there is just a huge, long Suramar quest chain with a couple low level raids or dungeons involved, i’d love it. But I have no clue which chain to follow to get there.

You’ve all been very helpful and patient with me. I thought this might be a fun little project to do while waiting for the expansion to drop, but I am so lost, it may not be worth the trouble. Thanks again all.

Oh, all good.
We have the base form that’s unlocked via the BoP quest chain.

Then you have the other forms that are unlocked via the other methods. I’m unsure if the BoP chain is needed first before the others. But you don’t need everything in that list to unlock just one.

I can’t remember how exactly I got it, it’s been so long.

You may have to do a little research to find out!

Look up “Balance of Power Wowhead” And follow the quest guide. It will take awhile but its worth doing if you play feral a lot.

Fire cat skin is easier if you want that. Think you just need flandrals scythe from firelands

Ha, I went and got the staff from the Firelands raid because after playing my Zandalari and Kul Tiran druids, I really liked their unique forms. I thought I might like to take my Night Elf druid as my main this time, but was underwhelmed with the 10 or so choices I had for cat form. The firey one is just too…busy to look at for long periods.

Then some jerk came prancing around Stormwind, showing off his fancy jungle kitty

Personal tip: make a point to kill your weekly Legion world boss so you can start progressing towards your Unleashed Monstrosities achievement, which will grant you access to the orange variant (the best one IMO). You still need to complete Balance of Power to access it, but you can at least get a headstart. Also is probably worth it to do world quests for Valarjar, Court of Farondis, and to a lesser extent, Nightfallen (the BoP will naturally progress your Nightfallen rep, but IIRC not enough to bring you to what you need) as you see them pop up, but I think the worst timegating is for the raid lockouts. Also, hang onto Blood of Sargeras drops you get. Pretty sure you need those for a part of the questline.
