Legion artifacts on for all specs

I think since Legion has been over for sometime maybe it’s possible to unlock the artifacts for every spec. I would love to have the Frostfire staff for my fire xmog.

It should not hurt the game any since it’s just a cosmetic change.

Edit: For Clarity, only unlock the skins / illusions that we’ve already unlocked. I’m not saying give everyone the Mage tower skins No. ONLY the ones that are already unlocked just locked per spec. I simply think we should have them available for all specializations.

I think this would be a pretty good change, and they could simplify the transmog UI a bit because they would no longer need a separate menu for artifact weapons.

i mean i like the fact each spec has their own artifacts because of the lore behind them and it gives spec identity but some artifacts just look way better than others.

That’d be nice. There’s a Holy staff that would just look so good for Shadow.

I would love this. I’ve been wanting to use the vengeance transmog forever, I love the way the vengeance glaives are designed.

There would be a lot of complaints.

I would have unlocked the unholy DK sword so that I could use it in blood spec. But I didn’t bother because I know I’ll never play unholy and bliz said that they would remain spec specific.

If they allowed you to unlock the appearances again a huge amount of other people would complain because they were supposed to be limited time content.

Well that’s on them, if they didn’t get that x skin unlocked. they game should not be tailored to those who “didn’t do” certain objective.

This post is just about unlocking the ones you HAVE ALREADY unlocked to all specs.

I think it should stay class specific, especially since each one has lore and history for that spec. You want frost staff, use frost, etc.

That’s fine they should be unlocked to everyone else who wants a certain item to match their set. Those who want to go by lore can just live by the rules they have now.

Yeah I wish they would just release them into the general transmog pool, but still with a class restriction.

How is this on the player? It was stated by blizz at the time that they would always remain spec specific. Players made their decision to complete the limited time content based on what they said. Going back on that means people who trusted what they said are screwed. It would be yet another pr nightmare.

I believe once you turn 100 and choose a different artifact weapon say like blood but you want to have the transmog for the unholy artifact. In case you want switch back to unholy. I’m not 100% sure they give you the appearance for that artifact but when I did frost they still gave me the appearance for unholy sword if I switched to unholy.

Another change I would like to see for enhancement shaman and their artifact weapon is to be able to transmog the main hand appearance into both hands. One of the appearances I have I would like to use but the elemental offhand thing you’re forced to use alongside it just kills it.

Or everyone can just live with the very small amount of rules they have now. You will be just fine without it :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

It’s just a lame way of locking us out of cosmetics that otherwise do nothing. I just simply want it unblocked, its not game breaking at all.

You think it isn’t, others think so, so well simply is what it is. You aren’t locked from using the mog, you just have to be its spec. I want to use Ashbringer while in prot. I am still locked to it. I wanna used a sword and shield in Ret, but can’t. Can you see if they decided to get rid of specs on artifacts? It would open up more complaining “well I want truthguard on ret now” etc.
I fully understand blizz’s approach with this, purely because it is better to deny all, then open to door to let all complain. The same will start applying to armor. Some leather and mail looks like plate, so now you have people that will want that available. Well soon, we would have warriors running around in the bloodfang recolor sets, etc.

This should be a Fire Mog, I agree.

You’re reaching now to an exaggerated point and not even remotely related to this thread. I don’t agree seeing a bloodfang set items for a warrior unless blizzard actually made it Neutral for Plate, but that would on them. Bloodfang should remain rogue only as well as Judgement should remain Paladin only… etc. etc…

This request is at least keeping the mogs earned on the same character across all specializations. I get that you want to keep these mogs locked to their respected specs and I admire that in some small way…but in my case the frostfire staff really could be a neutral mog that maybe could be acceptable in frost or even fire spec and keep it locked from Arcane and keep the arcane sheep staff locked to arcane. I would be willing to accept these types of locks.

I could live with this.

Class Restrictions do kind of suck, but they wouldn’t stand alone. Spec. Restrictions, however, are unique to artifacts and really diminish their value. These are basically the only weapon models out of an entire expansion - they shouldn’t be hamstrung like this.

“But… but… they’re unique and special and–” No. The minute artifacts were handed to every character of a class like Hearthstones, they ceased being special. Now, they’re not even current, relevant content.

But… in all things, aesthetics are forever. My warrior is still wearing a leg model from Vanilla for crying out loud. Yeah, the artifacts may not matter from a mechanics standpoint, but I’m surprised how many of my characters still use those models. The appearance is really the only lasting legacy the Artifacts have - they shouldn’t be locked down like this.

I think if you put the time in on each spec’s artifact, you should be able to use them across all specs for transmog. I’m all for keeping class restrictions in place.

I’d very much love to have a Doomhammer skin without having to go enhance.
