This is probably an old and exhausted topic but I feel with the amount of changes coming to WoW with the upcoming Shadowlands expansion this is an issue that can be addressed and fixed. I know I’m not the only one bothered by the fact that we cannot use all of the appearances from the artifacts and any dual weapon combo’s cannot be used independently also if I’m not mistaken the druid forms they get from their’s aren’t available for use either. I get that transmog’s don’t matter for some people but for others it creates the character fantasy and gives players a much greater player experience.
My personal issue with this is that my character fantasy was fulfilled when I obtained the hidden appearance for the Scale of the earth-warded (The last breath of the world-breaker) for my Prot Warrior. Wielding that massive shield with the Iron Soldier’s Saber instead of the… tiny nail whacker felt really great and really gave me a sense of power and intimidation. However ever since the expansion ended if I want to use the shield’s appearance I cannot use the Iron Soldier’s Saber since I have to transmog the Main hand weapon which transmogs both weapons without applying the transmog to the off-hand which means there is no way around this so I have to choose either my sword OR my shield transmog which really does not feel good and has ruined my character fantasy and I almost don’t even want to play my favorite class let alone the spec I enjoy anymore because of this. I’m certain there are a lot of other people that just want their character to look the way they want. Give us the freedom to choose it is not impossible to change this for Shadowlands and honestly if I can dual wield Shadowmourne I should be able to use the shield I want with another sword of my choosing. Bit of a rant but thanks for listening and if you agree that they should make all legion artifact appearances and all colors including druid forms and colors available with the increasing additions and improvements coming with shadowlands please feel free to voice your opinions in the comments. or don’t I’m not a cop.
