If you like leveling alts, absolutely. Draenor is the fastest leveling in the game if you have flying- about 13 Bonus Objectives and you’re off to Legion…Legion itself less quick, but still totally worth it.
NO, if you are a true casual who like to dabble in wow in your spare time and maybe play 2-3 characters at most and the type of player who likes to use the level boost 110.
Yes, if you wanna be a real wow player and thinking of a long term wow experience, planning on leveling 5~6 chars or even more and doing the same thing for both factions.
I did the Legion Pathfinder when it was the current and WOD as a level 110 char. I can tell you this. The whole thing is like a columbus’ egg. A lot of the stress and anxiety comes from not knowing what to do or figuring out what to do, but once you know them, they are very easy and straightforward.
Here is my experience with WOD pathfinder. I had LvL 110 and he’d already done 2 + 1/2 zones in WOD while leveling so basically another 2 + 1/2 zones needed for the Loremaster Achievement. For a LvL110, it was a piece of cake, just single shotting everything. After the Loremaster achievement, I flew to Ashran to buy the treasure map for all of WOD except the Tannan jungle and went for the 100 treasure chest hunting while simultaneously doing the WOD map exploration achievement.
Did you know everything you want to know about pathfinder, you can find in You-Tube? You can type any quest or any zone name, and they are all there in the you-tube. So, when I couldn’t figure out what zone I was missing for the map exploration, I just typed the zone name in you-tube and boom~there was the answer. The whole WOD Loremaster + Map exploration + 100 treasure chests were done in 1 day. The only thing remaining was the 3 x Tannan jungle rep which was just a matter of parking a character there and logging in for like 1 hour everyday to do the dailies for the next 2 weeks.
WOD was the expansion that I totally missed and initially I really didn’t like the idea of wasting my time just for the WOD flying. But after doing that, I can tell you this. The experience broadened my understanding of the game and near the end, I also started to enjoy the actual experience of WOD quite surprisingly. And I think I enjoy WOW a lot more now in a healthier way.
They own the data and servers i dont believe its impossible for them to help the poster at all.
They are a business. Making the poster restart and spend more time benefits them in the end.
I dont trust anything or any one at face value ever.
Yes, if you want to fly there.
Legion is quite easy, now.
I did Draenor while bored in Legion. You can buy the hard part (reps, Medallion of the Legion.)
During Legion, getting Draenor flight from zero to flight took me about 2 weeks casually (on my then “main” hunter, Kybeorie.) I started out to grind the saber dudes, thought it was horrible, then read about Medallion of the Legion; 65 K later, was exalted to all but Wrynn’s. Then, which I’m glad I did since it was later removed, I spent the additional 45 K to get Wrynn’s to exalted (this was based upon whatever Medallion of the Legion goes for, on your AH.)
For the Quest/Zone part of Draenor Pathfinder, go to the Wowhead achivement for the zone and read the comments. You’ll usually see that someone lists 95 quests, but then some other guy says “Hey, only these 40 are needed for it.”
I actually had fun doing Draenor flying. The treasure finding one is kind of neat too.
The completionist in me was glad I did Draenor, plus I’d never have got all of them to Exalted (including the now Defunct Wrynn’s(as far as getting to exalted, now.))
Well it depends on you and what you wish to do in the gane.
Do you like flying? Do you plan to level alts through those zones at any point? Do you plan to go back and farm rep, gear, mats you may have missed?
If the answer is yes to any of those, then I would say yes, the pathfinder is definitely worth the time and effort.
Just for leveling alt purposes no. If your a completists yes.
If you really, really really want to fly then yes it is worth it considering it is your only choice if you want to fly.
Okay, so laws won’t stop you from transferring characters over unless you had an item or whatever that was banned in the EU and not in the US (and vice versa the other way) and a simple fix for this would be to have the offending item removed from the account when transferring. You know, like the same way people had their weapon removed at the start of Uldir cause they weren’t meant to be a weapon upgrade. So don’t say “They can’t do that !”
Guild Wars 2 allows you to transfer your account between EU and US, in fact, I’ve personally done it from US to EU and back again with 0 trouble. So please try to explain why Guild Wars 2, a game that is much smaller then WoW, is able to transfer between region despite “Laws being different” yet WoW is not?
The only legitimate response I’ve found as to why they can’t do this is that the data centre’s that hold your characters data is different from US and EU (who thought that was a good idea I’d like to know) and thats the only reason why you can’t transfer characters and imo they should of spent the $15 million on the workers to fix the mess that is the data centres so that players are able to transfer between regions. If they are so worried about server economies Why am I able to transfer pets between regions without a server transfer 'cause they are account wide in collections .
not sure if you’re using incorrect terminology here, or if something has majorly changed recently.
account-bound stuff is region locked.
…but sure… they’re just after peoples money.
That’s why there’s zero cost to purchase the game now.
I’ve bought a pet on Arygos for 10k, added it to collections, logged onto my toon on Proudmoore sold it for 50k.
Putting a pet in a cage, unless it states they can’t be traded, allows you to list them on the AH or trade. And since pets are in collections they can be accessed by all characters on any server
The last two times through Draenor, I just did the treasures/bonus quests thing. I may actually do the zones if I ever get that far again with an alt.
You can do that for regions that share servers… You can’t cage one of your pets on a US server and sell it on a Chinese or EU server.
To answer your question OP… everyone has already said what needs to be said.
Up to you. If it were me… and it has been me. I totally did it!
