In this short season I think it would make sense to improve the drop chance from heroic for the legendary. The experience farming Fyr’alath is so much better. I do not play evoker seriously, I’m just trying to farm it with a saved lockout on a different toon and I put together a group every week. Last week we had a full raid full of evokers and no-one got it. This week, only one got it.

Yeah I’m not entirely sure why they didn’t expedite it.
That said, Fyr’alath is immensely more important for the dps of those classes than legendary is for us. You can get a kharnalex or vakash and not lose out on much, thankfully.
Yeah but doesn’t that make it kinda backwards? The harder-to-get legendary is not as impactful
It’s not really harder to get unless you’re new to evoker and has been available much longer, but again I agreed that it should be faster for people this season.
It would be nice if actively striving for this expansion’s legendaries could somehow guarantee you eventually getting them, but Blizz doesn’t seem to be ready to go there quite yet. It seems they are still fixated on the idea of everyone gets it or only the lucky get it. The bad luck protection is a step in the right direction, but it seems more like an appeasement than an actual effort to reward hard work and determination.
I was running it every week since the legendary was available on my main alliance evoker, never dropped. My second time killing Sarkareth on LFR and it dropped for my horde evoker, which is now my main, lol. These drop chance percentages are bonkers.
It does kind of break immersion when the quality and devotion to an individual character is irrelevant to rng and a fresh character with 2.5 days of playtime gets what your year old character wants their very first encounter, of which they spent %70 of face down on the floor after dying to unavoidable AOE damage.
Did they not boost this? I got my first evoker to 70 yesterday and got in the lfr killed the boss and got it on the first go as far as all those steps idk how long that will take but did I just get extremely lucky?!
Yes, you should probably buy a lottery ticket. I have never ever seen one drop from LFR.
Ah tbh it was complete accident I had already qued for lfr but everything I had read online was talking about heroic but I was already 30 minutes into waiting so I went ahead and did it and it dropped so I figured they just pretty much made it a guarantee

I queued for LFR for months in attempt to get it. Eventually I gave up on LFR because I never saw a single one, and have only been doing heroic since. But today I am queued and waiting for LFR (I have been waiting 49 minutes as of this post)
I have killed heroic sarkareth 7 times on my evoker. every time the group has been roughly 20-30 evokers plus a few random other people looking for the mount. Every kill has dropped either 0, 1, or 2. Usually 1. So out of about 175 chances, about 8 or 9 have dropped.
Edit: Can confirm, did an LFR with about 15 dragons and nobody got one. I think you’re just extremely lucky
Update the farming isn’t so bad it’s the gold cost for this thing I’m looking at probably right around 250k g spent to create it only farmable mats I’m short on are the vestiges I’m at 200 out of the 400 required and the fragments I’m at 14 out of 20 so far but I can’t do anymore of those this week =/
its a short season why couldnt they just put the quest item on the vendor. its not like people are trying to just buy the legendary without having to earn it. i got the axe on my pally week 16 but i have 2 evokers and i still dont have the quest item to start it. at least with the axe you can get it with in the same week but the evoker leggo requires drops from the raid so its a extra time sink in a already short season. theres 12 weeks left to the season and i doubt ill get it in those 12 weeks
