Hello,
I saw on wowhead that the drop rate for the axe on LFR and Normal was close to nothing. This made me think “Who is wow for these days?”
If its for the 0.5 percent, then great. Have Blizzard pay the salaries, run the servers and fund the next big thing on the income from the 0.5 percent. They couldn’t do it. The company would fold in a months time.
The casual player base pays for the world we all live in. So, the casual should be treated a little bit better than having being given a non-existent drop rate to work with.
Mythic and Heroic raiders SHOULD get the axe faster and easier. They are doing to hardest content. However, they should be a path for the casuals too. It can take longer, maybe a alternate quest grind. It should be better than what it is now though.
During Mists and WoD everyone got a leggo if they put in the work. This has changed. Is the drop rate designed around casuals buying wow tokens so that they can pay mythic raiders for carries? This design works heavily in Blizzards favor. Keep the masses chasing something that will never drop at their play time/skill rate. Force they to buy tokens to give gold to the players with more time on their hands.
Thanks.

How dare better gear drop from higher difficulties.
If anything you should count yourself lucky it can drop at all from LFR and normal (if not heroic too)
Moreover, if carries are a problem then that problem should be addressed. Else, this is just the world we live in.

I mean it shows the drop rate ramping up to 15% even in LFR. That’s a pretty good rate for a rare drop, especially a legendary that is at Mythic level power.
Do harder content, get better rewards. That’s been the MO from day one.

If everything worth while is behind 6 to 12 hours a week of raiding then what is there for the casual player base?
Casual playing should NOT get legendary items in any shape or form.
Even the whatever small % in drop rate for LFR is more than enough for a chance for people who can basically join with a iLvl 424 toon and be carried.

Casual playerbase get lower level of difficulties and tons of content outside of pillar content. If your goal is to get the best gear then you’re not really that much “casual”.

You can run LFR and have a lower chance.
Also, “everything worthwhile” is a very broad category that everyone is going to define differently. You can get tier sets from casual open world play now. You have a chance to get a legendary from rolling your face on the keyboard in LFR for ten minutes.

I’m just happy having a better idea of what to expect.
