3kills and you think you should have the legendary in lfr no less? This mentality is exactly why this game keeps treading downhill. You all expect the best of everything to essentially be handed to you with no effort or within such a short timespan that you all complain there is no longer anything to work for or do in the game. Most servers on US didnt even have the chance to loot it pre mythic until week 4 when the 1st kill happened. The average player has put so little time and effort into this. Its been 3weeks since its been available for most of us. This isnt the same as legion where those legendaries were considered necessary for endgame. The axe is not

I firmly believe that legendaries should be of the shadowmourne/tarecgosa style. Guaranteed if you put in the time, faster on higher difficulties but doable on lower… it just felt better.

Wrath lego was easy to get. I got it then, so i remember most of it.
Do an easy questline in a cave where some undead appear to get Arthas’s old hammer.
Kill 200-100 undead… something like that.
Have Syndragosa breath on you, just use a defensive to survive. lol
Get bitten by Lana’thel one week and the other to not get bitten, nothing simpler.
Get bloods from Festergut and Rotface and primordials, if you didn’t get enough by the time other steps were done, you’d just buy them off of the AH.
That was how a legendary should be gotten, they should stick to that formula.
Now its… RNG to get the 1 item you need then do the grindy stuff.

I would imagine that if you got it during this season, you will just need an item from Fyrakk to upgrade it to the respective fated difficulty. Meanwhile if you get it during season 4, you will have to go through the ‘crafting’ part of obtaining it proper.
Same goes for the Evoker legendary. If you got it during season 2 or season 3, killing Sarky drops an item to upgrade it to the respective fated difficulty. If you get it during season 4, you still have to do the crafting part of obtaining it proper.
You were able to upgrade the Sylvanas bow if you got it during SL season 2 or 3 via a drop from her. Although that legendary was a pure random drop. No crafting items needed.
That was for the achievement. You just had to be bitten during the fight while having the blood mirror debuff on them to complete that quest step.
You also forgot the Professor step. Where you had to drink up pools of ooze as the abomb.
This was part of the first step. Alongside getting Arthas’ old Hammer, Lights Vengence and getting 25 Primordial Saronite.

That axe seems kinda heavy
The way Blizz does legendaries (other than Legion and WoD), they are almost always obtained after the content is on farm. After the raid is cleared, after we have all our M+ portals, then we get the legendary. I’ve stopped thinking of them as a competitive edge, and more as something fun to play with after there are few other reasons to log onto that toon.
Worst part is the weapon is going to be replaced in under 4 months… So I guess in their minds if it takes you 2 months to just get the drop to start the quest, you should be happy to be able to use it for a month and a half… Yea, real Legendary.

What makes you think that?
We know season 4 of DF will be a fated season. We also know that during Shadowlands season 4, also a fated season you could upgrade the Sylvanas legendary bow to the fated ilvls if you got it prior.
Unless Blizzard suddenly goes, “lol nope. No upgrading those legendaries this time around”, which would be a completely stupid move, we can expect that we will use them during season 4. Whether you get it now and upgrade it then, or get it during season 4.
Even if Blizzard did not restrict legendaries to certain classes, things like weapon type will restrict it anyway. Unless the legendary is on a shared piece of gear. Such as cloak (MoP and BFA) or rings (WoD).
Sulfuras and Thunderfury are not directly class locked but good luck wielding thunderfury on a priest.
I say keep legendary items legendary, not everyone should be running around with one that way it doesnt become expected to have one. It should be a cool moment when you inspect someone and see the lucky bast@rd got it even with all blue and greens on
Im pretty sure pre transmog both Sulfuras and Thunderfury used to be class locked.
Also the problem with the old legendary system usually only one person got to pursue the legendary because most drops and in some cases the special interactions with the raids could only be done by one person per fight. Add that to the lovely world of guild politics. Goodluck doing that in a pug. I can guarantee 90% of this thread and probably the game would not be ok with that.
You also all make it sound like the season is ending this week. S4 is coming in the spring so probably like early april. Like others said we will most likely get to upgrade it if they dont just adjust it after the fact
Nope. They never were. You could get the bindings on say a shaman and go through the whole quest line only to not being able to wield it. Since shamans cannot use 1 hand swords My shaman has both bindings lol.
Sulfuras is just combining the Eye of Sulfuras, which is not class restricted to the Sulfurion Hammer, a craftable 2 hand mace from Blacksmithing.
You ever look at what was involved in getting the Warglaives of Azinoth? People had to hope they’d drop and then hope the correct one dropped. (Main hand/off hand)
Just be grateful for the bad luck protection and move on.

That may be how you feel, but it doesn’t change the system Blizz is using. How many evokers got their legendary right away? Realistically, all of your goals for this season will be over by the time you get the axe. Better to accept that it will be a trophy and toy rather than useful tool.
Id think its be obvious since who would expect a leggo from lfr after three attempts rofl
And yea while ive done 3 lfr its more because idgaf about raiding this xpac and want the mount skin vs anything about leggo expectations.

BC endgame was lnt cleared by many people. Most stopped after mags, gruul, and kara. Bc, hjjal and sunwell were exclusive clubs.
