Korthite crystals are at 600g but 262 base vessels still priced at 100k…
What’s happening?
People keep buying them.
Supply and demand. If more got listed and didn’t sell, the prices would drop.

Even at 600g, that’s still 24k just from crystals. Take into account how much the other mats cost, and the fact the crafter spent even more money leveling their recipe…

I spent probably 15k on mats and another 25k tipping the dude who made it. Its super cheap to go that route idk why ppl dont do it. Paying 100k is just nuts
I farmed the korthite as some days you can get like 5. I also farmed the ore to make the shadowgjast ingots and enchanted bars. It was just the shards and fluxes that cost me

I love how people come to these forums complaining about the price of something.
People can sell their items for w/e they want.

Sorry about that. guess I’m not pulling my weight. At my current pace of gathering, I’ll get my first rank 4 recipe in a little over a year. But since I want to collect recipes more than I want to make gold, it will likely be 15-20 years before I’ll be selling max rank on the auction house.
I think that’s kinda fair, tbh. How much would a non-legendary 262 be? Yeah, you gotta charge the vessel up with your leggo juice, but you can’t expect it to be cheap just because there’s a bunch on the market.
Plus, every vessel is differently priced, y’know. Mine are mail boots, and those were way cheaper than the other (and, honestly, better) options available for me. I think people know which legendaries are best (or sell the most) for certain classes and price them accordingly. So if you want legendaries for cheaper, consider just investing in a less-efficient legendary. Or a non-262 legendary!
I mean, 9.2 will be around eventually, so it’s kinda whatever. Not really worth stressing out over since you’ll be most likely repeating this process in six months anyway.
I think I’m more shocked that the Crystals are plummeted this bad.

Spend a few days getting korthite crystals and use trade/group finder to have someone make you whatever you need. Just leave a tip.
It’s really not that hard and I don’t know why people keep freaking out that the lazy way to get a legendary is expensive.

Dwindling population also means less new crafters.

I think the complaint stems more from how leggos upgrades are designed more than anything.
Huge influx of crystals on the market depresses the cost of crafting the legendaries.
Crystals went from 4k teach to under 1k ea.
100k is cheap.
Suppliers want profit.
Capitalism 101.
I have jewelcrafting. I wondered if it worth leveling up legendary crafting to get that sweet gold. Created a quick spreadsheet. It’s not even close; in the end, there are massive losses leveling and that 262 vessel is selling at a massive loss on their own. Add in sunk costs and the loss is higher.
(FWIW, I found that prices on my server for lower cost [non-legendary] items have stabilized around the cost of raw materials with either a small markup or a small loss. This is an interesting example of the free market at play.)
The one I need is 250-300k still. I would kill for 100k.
I can wait, as I stand here fuming in my purple fart cloud.
