Legacy Raid Scaling

Old raids are completely jacked up. Molten Core became level 30 mobs, which is too high relative to the player levels. When I bring a max level 50 (old 120) into MC, I actually aggro multiple mobs I used to be able to walk right past and Bosses require a few shots to kill. Black Temple is 31 mobs, which seems scaled about right. I brought in a level 40 (old ~100) and previously one-shot bosses require about 5-8 attacks to kill. Also I got perma-stunned on Shade of Akama and had to die, which took about 5 minutes. I tried Ulduar which became lv 32 mobs on the same Level 40 and got wrecked by Flame Leviathan both with and without vehicle. Anything over old level 100 used to be able to easily handle Ulduar. The scaling is very broken. Please fix.

Yeah it does feel weird that classic & TBC heroic dungeons & raids were scaled up to level 30 (adjusted level 80, therefore Wrath’s cap). Even though they should be level 25 and level 27 respectively.

I mean TBC raids and heroic dungeons didn’t scale up to level 80 prior to the level squish, they stayed at level 70. Likewise Cata raids and heroic dungeons stayed at level 85 prior to the level squish. Even though Outdoor Cata content (Hyjal etc) & normal dungeons could scale to level 90.

It is also funny how vanilla raids drop gear that require level 25 to equip, but you can’t do them until you are level 30 (with a group) or higher solo.

FL (and the final boss in Oculus) are screwed atm. The vehicles / drakes scale with your item level. So since we got an item level squish with the level squish, blizzard has to retune how the scaling works for these bosses. Same problem happened at the start of BFA when we got an item level squish with the BFA pre-patch (seems blizzard never learns from their mistakes), Keep in mind that FL was always intended to be done with the vehicles, which is why FL does tons of damage to you if you are not inside one. So the whole “FL wrecked me outside of a vehicle” I could guess to blizzard saying “working as intended” until the whole “legacy damage done / damage taken reduction buff” applies.
