I entered Ice Crown Citadel today and under my character portrait settings, the difficulty was listed as Heroic 25 man, but after killing first boss I received normal mode loot. I was also notified that I was now saved to Normal 25 man. I left the instance to check my settings again but it still said Heroic 25 man. Only when I double-clicked the word “Heroic” did the instance change difficulties. Now I’m unable to enter the Heroic version for the mount and continue farming Shadowfrost Shards for the week.
Yup this happened to me two weeks ago, apparently despite it saying “Heroic” in your settings you have to click it again to make it heroic. Until they fix this (probably a long time from now) just ensure the instance portal door has the “heroic face” on it, otherwise its not. Also sorry for a wasted week
