Quick question:
How many times can I loot an old dungeon (ie. Vault of the Wardens) per week? Once in total per week? Once per difficulty per week? Once every day?
Any help is appreciated!
Mythic difficulty can be looted once per week
Heroic dungeons could be looted once per day.
Normal difficulty can be looted by your account up to 10x per hour per server. You just need to exit and Reset Instances before going back in again.
One way to double-check without running back in again is after you Reset Instances, open the Social screen (default hotkey O), click the Raid tab, and then click the Raid Info button. This will show what Raids and dungeons you are locked out for.
EDIT: If you are farming for a specific Legion crafting recipe, that almost always had to be done on Mythic difficulty.
I guess i’m confused because yesterday I tried doing vault of wardens. On my first run on normal, I got gear from every boss. And then on my second run, I got gold every boss and though it was because i was locked out…
I just tested a couple of older dungeons by running through them 2 times
- Vault of the Wardens on Normal diff
- Shadowmoon Burial in WoD on Normal diff
Shadowmoon I got loot both times.
Vault of the Wardens, first time through I got loot from the first boss only and gold only or gold+blood of sargares from all other bosses. 2nd time through I got gold only from the 1st 3 bosses and gold + blood of sargeres from the last boss.
It’s possible that Legion is just really stingy or because its the last xpac before bfa its not on the legacy loot system that allows for the 10x per hour.
This is just RNG be sneaky and looking like a pattern. If you were locked out of loot, you wouldn’t get anything, not even gold.
