10 lockouts per hour for a dungeon is a lot.

Not if you are specifically farming one item in a dungeon over and over, like say you wanted the mount from Vortex Pinnacle, that can be farmed in like 2 minutes per run.

Legacy content was once current content , you still need a little effort to get what u want from there

right, but that’s the part they hate. i am not sure why they’re not just asking for all transmog gear to be granted automatically to everyone at the end of each season.

I think we should get a significant dungeon/raid speed buff for legacy stuff.

You can remove it if you wanna smell the roses, but otherwise it’s zoom zoom time, like in the DK HQ.

Bots.
The instance limit was added as a feeble, completely ineffective way to combat bots farming gold in instances. But it looks like that’s redundant now, content going legacy mode also chops the vendor value of everything by 99%.

Edit: orrr not. The vendor value reduction is wildly inconsistent, it’s a precarious stack of band-aids just like every other system in the game. SL normal dungeon 1h- 53 gold. SL heroic dungeon 2h- 27 silver.

If you do the questline for ring upgrades and rares for gems. You’ll get enough currency for the next alt. Its an endless assembly line.

So I went out and done the quest line on an alt, got the ring to max level, got some currency and could afford about half of my gear from the vendor.

Unless you stick around farming on the island to get the rest of the currency, spending 1-2K per alt is not a waste of gold, not for people who have enough spare gold.

The vendor cost of items is so low now you really cannot even make gold from it like you used to.

All those older videos about running this raid or that raid, jumping across to LFR and running 2 bosses before using your dreamgrove teleport to get back to the start of the raid and run it again on normal and heroic, none of that matters anymore since it’s all worth nothing.

I have 20something now max level alts, I cannot find enough time to get through them all for the week in even 1 entire raid. And it doesn’t even matter:

I can easily do over 20 legacy raids in a day, don’t want to, but I know I could, ok 20 is a bit much, but I know I can over 20 raids in 1 or 2 days depending on which raid it is

It’s absolutely a waste. You are buying trash gear you can’t upgrade where as the siren gear IS upgradeable AND you get quite a bit of gear drops WHILE doing rares. And the gear drops can also be upgraded upon drop at 590+.

I got the ones that matter, for an alt I am not going to AFK on the island waiting for the right event to show up when I don’t need or will never use said gem.

It really doesn’t take long to get the currency.

It also doesn’t take long to farm 1-2K gold, probably faster than it takes to get the currency, the bonus is that I can use the gold after, the currency is wasted in 11.1 unless you go buy some gear and vendor it, and even than you don’t really get that good of an exchange rate.

Like in this expansion, with buying all my consumables and crafting gear for 3 characters by buying mats from the AH, only selling back what spare stuff I find along the way I have made in profit almost 1 million gold.

Yeh no, using gold and still making profit, definitely not a waste. Only someone who cannot make enough disposable gold will sit here and say that spending gold is a waste.

Funnel the currency you get into the mission table.
You get way more out than you put in.

I don’t think someone who doesn’t know that a 550 green vs 580 upgradable blues bought from boa currency is a bad decision should judge someone else.

Which is pointless these days, it’s lockouts per server, not per account. You can just swap alts to one that is on another server, it’s how us mount farmers get around the lockout, we just swap to an alt on another server.

It’s a bit more than 30 minutes, and for gear I just don’t need for multiple reasons.

1. I am not planning to run anything higher than LFR on most of my alts.
2. I am making them solely for mount farming purposes
3. If I have enough spare gold from just playing the game, spending 1-2K per alt to save myself 30+ HOURS of game time, why would I not spend it?

And that’s just for the characters I currently have levelled, imagine someone going to Siren Isle 60 times spending 1-2 hours per alt getting the ring, the gems, the currency. That’s 2 weeks of playtime, I could very easily make 100K in that time.
