We can now transfer left over primal chaos to other toons. Can you please let us trade in our primal focus for valor, not capped by the weekly valor. At least give us some incentive to completing keys outside of our weeklies and rating push.
I’ve stopped making primal infusions and I’ve started deleting my primal foci. The least they could do is give each focus a 50g sell value.
Can’t you make pretty good combat pots with the chaos? Potion of Ultimate Power or something like that. I haven’t made any yet, but that’s my plan soon.
With the chaos, yes, but the items you get at the end of dungeon runs that are used to make the upgrade items have no other use besides crafting.
I have 200 concentrated primal focus at the moment. They serve no purpose to me.
It’s a general trend Blizzard has with Currency type items, and there are a lot of them this expansion that have limited use.
The Titan Training Matrix items are another example. By the time you really get them, you’re possibly doing content that’s giving you gear far beyond what you could make from them. Even alts that are only doing World Quests can simply bypass them, particularly the Training Matrix I and II’s, so they just sit in your bags doing nothing.
The Primal Focuses have a limited use case, but they’ll keep dropping and there’s little to do with them. Even if you get super lucky with Spark drops, you’ll have a bunch sitting around in your bags being unable to be used.
The worst part is most of these could be made into straight up Currencies. Rather than having then be individual items sitting in your bags, they could have gone into a Currency tab, where you can buy the requisite consumable item when you wanted to use it, and potentially with a generic tradeable alternative when you ran out of uses for it, e.g. Augment runes, mats, stuff like that.
The Storm currency from the .5 patch event is another example of poor design, it’s used as a currency to buy stuff from the vendors, just like Storm Sigils and Elemental Focus are, but it’s randomly a physical item that sits in your bags.
