Left Mouse button opens character screen

Hey everyone,

I’m running into an issue with my mouse. As the title says, whenever I left-click, it will randomly open the character screen.

This happens in both World of Warcraft and Diablo 4. Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Disabled Discord and Nvidia overlays in WoW
  • Restored default keybinds
  • Turned off the Xbox Game Bar in Windows
  • Checked accessibility options (Sticky Keys, Filter Keys, Toggle Keys) – all are off
  • Tried a different mouse
  • Freshly reinstalled WoW with no addons
  • Also checked OSK (On Screen Keyboard)to see if C was being pressed as I clicked the left mouse key and nothing was being pressed on the OSK.

Unfortunately, the problem is still happening. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The same thing has started happening to me as well, logged of last night logged in this morning and it started. I have no add ons installed at all.

Which mouse? Is the peripheral software assigning this keybind?

How about Windows?

Just started happening to me today, and removing Trio Office from my PC fixed it. thank you for sharing!

This was happening to me as well. I have not used Trio for over a year and saw that I still had it downloaded. I uninstalled the program, and it fixed my issue. This needs to be investigated, because it was triggering my C keybind and if the game had recognized that as a third party software it could’ve triggered a ban.

Trio is causing the problem in many games, so Microsoft would need to do the investigating.

Actually, it’s not even a Microsoft product; it’s just available in the Microsoft Store (but also from direct downloads).

“GT Office PDF Studio”, whoever the heck they are, will have to investigate, but I suspect if you downloaded the app in the Microsoft Store, you can rate and comment there.

Honestly, if people want an office suite, they should just install LibreOffice or pay the weregeld to Microsoft and get their full-fat one.

Either is probably fine. Microsoft states they review every app on their store, so they missed something pretty big on the recent update for that app. :upside_down_face:
