Left group due to toxicity, they begged me back only to kick me seconds before dungeon completion

Ive seen some toxic crap in my day but wooooooow this guy gets an award for horribleness that goes beyond pretty much anything Ive seen in 20 years lol.

We are doing a Mists 5, no wipes, Im top dps, everything is going fine. The shaman didnt lust on first boss at p2 so I did it because he must have forgot, np. We get to second boss and I lust again and the DK dps lead is furious. This is the same guy that died multiple times throughout the dungeon, nobody else kept dying like him. He asks who told me to hero and that me using lust got him killed although I have no idea the logic of that, I mean if its a 10, I would always ask when tank wants hero but for a 5 we are cruising through I didnt see the worry. But he gets more and more toxic so I ask why hes so angry, more toxicity, so I leave group and port out.

He whispers me exactly this: “Come back, please, Im just having a bad day, please come back and just finish” I never get apologies from anyone in this game for toxic behaviour so I was a little surprised and agreed to come back but told him it will take me too long to get back in time for timer, he said its ok just come back to finish. I port to org, take portal, take flight path and run through dungeon to get to final boss, timer is about to expire so we wont make time. We kill the boss, my dps is almost double everyone elses, not important but just for perspective. We still have some percent so we go to kill the last trash, as soon as trash is almost all dead he boots me from group…

Sends me a whisper “LOL” I ask him how he can be this horrible of a person, he gets angry again and toxic and blames me for ruining his key, I messaged that he ruined his key with his toxic personality and maybe he will learn not to talk bad to people, and that I learned never to accept apologies lol.

So point of this story is: DONT ACCEPT APOLOGIES FROM BAD PEOPLE IN GAME, TOXIC HORRIBLE PEOPLE ARE JUST THAT, HORRIBLE, THEY DO NOT CHANGE AND THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE CONSEQUENECES OF THEIR BAD BEHAVIOUR, THEY WILL ALWAYS BLAME EVERYONE ELSE. ALWAYS QUIT A GROUP THAT TALKS BAD TO YOU, DONT ARGUE, JUST LEAVE. IF EVERYONE DOES THAT PEOPLE WILL HAVE TO BEHAVE BETTER. DO NOT STICK AROUND TO FURTHER ABUSE JUST TO GET YOUR KEY ITS NOT WORTH IT.

Yeah… just his apology seemed so sincere, talking about having a real bad day etc, for all I know his mom just died lol, but it shows how evil a person has to be to know how to manipulate someone into giving them what they want and when they get it to resume toxic behaviour… so bad lol

It’s a standard premade group, so people can be removed whenever.

Because loot is distributed as if they remained so there’s no point in ever kicking. If I’m in a +4 and get kicked at the last boss then if I got a piece of loot it gets mailed to me.

They also can’t bring anybody in to replace me because the group is set when the key is put in.

Yeah that’s a very crappy move on their part.

I got done hard today and I admit I feel a little salty on it. I do two Mists +8 successfully and want to do the GB +8 for a change of dungeon.

Join a party, seems like a friendly group. I help summon and we go inside, I put down food and we’re eating and as we finish I see I’ve been removed from the group. I don’t mind being rejected (tank privilege n all but you get my help n eat then kick? That’s (very legal but) dirty.

Realize that you left for a reason n don’t go back no matter how much they beg (unless you wanna suffer). This can be applied to groups/guilds/real life relationships of all types/etc.

It is that false sense of security when online playing games. I just report and move along, never to be bothered with that player again. At some point, they will be punished for that type of behavior.

The system doesn’t punish bad play enough and way more than that it has almost no reward for good play. Blizzard needs to focus a lot more time on griefer mitigation and some system to try to encourage good play.
