To those of you who know me on here or have participated in my “Blizzstore Free mount Giveaway Raffles”, you know I have always been the “Alliance for Life” type of player. Over the past year most of my friends that I have played with for over 10 years have gone Horde. Well to put a final nail in the coffin my husband bought the 8 faction changes+ Server xfer packages during the last sale and went Horde.
Has also bought the same thing for me. So the 8 icons are sitting there waiting for me to use them. Originally I told him he is on his own; however after some serious reflecting and long talks with him I have decided to join him on the Horde and Faction change to an Undead. Not quite sure WHEN exactly ill do the swap but I am swapping soon™. I will be joining him and others as Tichondrius or Area52 Horde.
As I said my Lock will go Undead hands down. I think I will be taking my DK female Orc, Druid to HMT, Monk to Vulpera, Pally to Blood Elf and Mage to Nightborne.Id love to hear some Opinions on this. Did I pick good races? Im not doing the swap till I make final decisions on my class/race combos.
I said this before. I’m not a fan of the horde races. They look like they were taken pretty much right out of the county fair stockyard. Goodluck in your future though and I hope it works out.
But seriously I wish they would go ahead and pull the trigger on the faction barrier so people wouldnt have to feel like they need to make these hard decisions. I want SOME of my characters to be worgen and not feel like Im all alone on the alliance
You and me both however I think it’s going to be quite a long time before we see the barrier actually drop such as cross faction guilds and being able to Q for random BGs and World quest with the opposite faction.
It’s sad to see another alliance player go horde but I understand the pressures and wish you the best.
Cross faction instances is a good start but without cross faction guilds or the ability to do queued and open world content there is still a massive gap that painfully separates friends and family. The current implementation actively hurts raiders that want to be cross faction and blizz knows it.
That all said it’s not just cross faction that needs to happen, unfortunately the damage of shadowlands means that yet another round of connections is needed because of just how unsustainable server populations have dropped. Economy is not faction specific and it’s particularly painful on smaller servers, without a region wide economy or a way to server hop to take advantage of higher pop servers and their economy without paying money to blizz is just painful.

I wouldn’t go to Tich if I didnt enjoy pvp. As for racials I have never really cared. I pick what I like. I like the look and lore elements of Undead for the warlock class fantacy. To be honest before Void Elves the Alliance didnt have a Race I was happy as lock on. No dark lore races on ally
Sadly FULL cross faction will probably be after Dragonflight if ever
