The Game Devs actually support your faction experience
Knowing that your faction will always have the advantage
The Horde story is the ACTUAL story of WoW
The Alliance only exist to react and respond
Overall, better racials
Easier time accessing content via social means and in game means
What I still like about the Alliance
Overall their races look better in most transmog
Cooler armor imo
Better overall aesthetic
Aside from Elves, the Horde is literally still a savage/barbaric/dirty faction, I like the clean and classy feel of playing as Alliance
Better story characters
Not enough to keep me playing the Alliance.
Preference only matters so much and I really prefer the Vulpera and its now one of my favorite races. Orgrimmar looks horrible imo but I still have Thunderbluff and Silvermoon! I like the older less dark version of Orgrimmar in Classic. Orgrimmar looks like a permanent camp set up. While in Classic it looked like an Orc place of living. I know the Horde lives for war but in Classic they looked more settled. I’d like to see more civilian buildings like in Classic. It just felt more like a city instead of a fortress.
Also the Horde will probably get Saberon and if they don’t go to the Alliance… It ruins the entire faction experience. Nothing will be more demoralizing for a faction carrying a banner with a lion’s head on it than to be ganked thousands of times by a Horde banner carrying… Lion/cat humanoid…
When Vrykul come out I’ll probably switch to main as Alliance again because literally the only race I ever wanted was Vrykul. Nah. They’re probably going to be Horde anyways. I’ve got to get used to it now.
Sorry to hear that but i can completely understand. You can always play both factions just to stay connected to what little story the Alliance actually gets. Good luck Horde side, at least you know the Dev. team is behind your faction and will prop it up and do everything they can to make it the awesome faction now.
I’m not talking about PVP. I don’t really PVP at all actually.
It’s just I play both factions actually and I just get a better experience off of my Demon Hunter on the Horde even though its an alt. I just laid out my reasons, pros and cons of how I see it, and I decided to just switch to the Horde.
Idk if others share my experience.
The Horde overall just feels like the real WoW now. I guess its a preference thing but I like the visual and art of the Alliance more still.
Also friends moving to Horde is demoralizing for anyone. Even if you’re on the Horde and they move to the Alliance its the same thing. I guess everyone will always have their own feelings about it.
This is not an advantage as far as I’m concerned.
If psychotic cycles of heinous atrocities followed by remorseful civil wars is a cooler attitude, then I suppose so.
I would love for the devs to forget the Horde exists for a couple expansions to let us recover from their loving attention.
If you ignore all counterexamples, then I suppose so. Far as Horde story goes, it consists of atrocity/remorse/atrocity/remorse. I would love for Alliance to take over being the focus, to the extent they aren’t, just so your faction can get torn apart and bludgeoned instead of us.
And in return you don’t have to kill your own people and lose every leader, with half the survivors being detestable like Baine.
All in all, I’m ready for the Horde to receive the Alliance treatment. Being the devs’ alleged favored faction has annihilated us.
Man, the reason why I actually went from Horde to Alliance because Mechanical Gnomes seem way more cooler than another furry race. I swear, the Horde is becoming World of Furrycraft.
What about those OP mechagnome racials? Right now they get 400 PRIMARY stat just for being alive in combat. That’s WAY better than any horde racial ever.
I’m honestly perfectly fine with it if for no other reason than seeing augmented midgets around every corner despite everyone hating looking like it would be amusing.
I myself think the horde has the better community in general than the alliance. Even when the shoe was on the other foot and the racials were better on alliance side (pvp perspective) the horde still seemed to have more mature people (not to say it didn’t have ANY immatures)
I rolled 2 horde toons this xpac to experience both sides of the story. I dunno about other players, but it wasn’t the greatest feeling infiltrating and burning SW at the start. All I could think while helping the horde NPCs escape was: “Look! It’s Genn! Quick, kill these f’kers before they get away!” xD I doubt that conflicting feeling will change no matter how long I main horde.
On the other hand, perhaps it won’t be so bad…
