I would really like to know what Blizzard is planning to do about the leavers in Solo Shuffle.
I have sat in queue for 40 mintues multiple times today just to have someone leave after 3/3 or less wins.
There needs to be MUCH harsher penalties for this instead of losing 150 rating. I would even go as far as to say if you leave enough you should receive a temp ban.
It’s not just DPS leaving, healers have been doing it as well which really messes the 4 DPS over that waited in 40+ min queues.
So please Blizzard can you tell us what you plan to do?

Had 8 leavers today trying to shuffle on my fresh 70 alt rsham.
If i was going into round six with 4 or 5 wins then every single time without fail the other healer just dips

It’s a pretty easy fix. Your MMR should ALSO go down 150 points. That’s all. Right now there is incentive to leave. Take that away and less people will leave. Depending on your MMR and the MMR of the team you’re facing… leaving can be better then taking the loss. =/

I see where you are coming from but I still think that is far to light of a punishment for what they are doing.
Some don’t care about ranking and are just trying to “Show the person they think is trash” etc.
It needs to be a ban/removal from them being able to access it depending on how often it happens.
That way a single disconnect wont be punished too hard, but someone who is a serial leaver will have to think twice or be removed for the week/month etc.

Someone left after 1 round just now, only 1400 MMR game. What are you trying to preserve? We all waited 40mins for that Q, yourself included.
For sure. I just like taking these changes in steps. Fix the MMR issue first, then put in other measures.
Like, a big issue with people leaving is some people just… disconnect. It happens. It happened to me in the very first round. So no losses and I had 0 reason to leave. Lost 150 points. What if it happened again? Should I just stop playing? I mean, I have no idea why I DC’ed. It happens. Connections drop. Blizzard crashes. etc. etc.
So the punishment needs to make sense, but also not go so far as punishing things that just happen to all of us.

That is rough…
I’ve been so lucky the last 2 evenings I’ve only had one I think, no one left today… Finally able to gain some rating. Had a few rough nights in the last week though, nothing like you’re describing.
just make mmr go down and keep cr the same to truly punish. that sh!t is blacked out wake up 400 rating lower sh!t

wut fam? just make them both go down.
mmr hit and cr stay the same is 0 wins at 6 and 0. I actually do agree with you with what u said i was just saying mmr below cr is massive hit

24 hour account wide lockout on all pvp for 1st offense, 2nd goes to 1 week and 3rd goes to a temp ban with increasing length for every offense after the third. Or just take away the leave option. /shrugs

yea. mmr is definitely the more important of the two in the long run. It’s really crazy this is the case. Makes me wonder if actual arena works the same way.

the silenced path. don’t think that would help as much as just hitting mmr would.
People do DC. It happens.

What happens if you drop out of a M+ or Raid? I don’t expect a different set of penalties to that.
Blizzard can tell the difference between a DC and someone that leaves. DCs for most people are far and few between. And if you’re consistently DCing because you have poor internet etc., you should still be punished as you’re queueing into a competitive game mode with knowingly unreliable internet and your DCs affect 5 other people in a major way. The penalties should be extremely harsh, and yes all of us will experience losses with the occasional DC, but that is a far better trade off than what we’re dealing with now.
A person dropping out of a M+ or Raid doesn’t instantly end the run for the rest of the group, in fact it rarely ever does. You simply backfill that spot and continue. Dropping out of SS instantly cucks 5 other people. With your comment, I can only imagine you’re a PvEr and don’t truly understand the nature of this conversation.
It’s not a hard fix. If someone leaves a solo shuffle match, drop their CR by 1000 and their MMR by 2000.
No one will ever leave a game again.

Ya gal, I’m a PVE Andy… get outta’ here lol.
People would still leave. Most of the ones that leave are on alts half the time and they wont care. The penalties need to be account wide and then maybe your suggestion would work. People will just hop on another toon and que back up like nothing happened.

If they dropped a leaver’s CR by 1000 and MMR by 2000, it would take countless hours to get that character back into 1500+ CR games (with DPS queues the way they are). I don’t think many people are leaving in the 0-500 bracket.
They could always add a stiffer deserter buff. If you leave 3 games in a week, you get a 7 day deserter buff. Account wide.
