When I reached 2500 I suffered a disconnection due to a monk knockback and lost -200 points even though I logged in right after.
Mindcontrol, jumps and knockbacks have been disconnecting players for at least a decade. Even so, Blizzard refused to restore my points.
But that’s not what this post is about, we need an update to this system.
Since Blizzard refuses to take action on the victims of the system, at least the punishment must be adjusted.
Blizzard cannot identify who suffered a DC bug or who left intentionally, this punishment could be different.
My suggestion:
1- if the player leaves the match and does not return -200, just as it currently works
2- if the player leaves and comes back -100
This way players who are not intentionally harming the team will be punished less severely.
In my case, a 10-second disconnection made me lose -200 points in a mode that requires 20 min queue, this is more than 24 PLAYED hours of progression.
Thats the ideal scenario, im just trying to find a middle ground…because they already said they won’t fix my points even though i participated 99% of the match.
They wont be retroactive, fine. They should still fix this going forward. There is 0 reason for a middle ground. Dont negotiate with terrorists blizzard
Also want to know why they let it punish the players that remain? How can you expect a 7 v 8 bg to be fair in any way especially if a healer disconnects or leaves it really screws the team.
The fact that there are no replacements makes it especially baffling why players can’t rejoin the game when reconnecting. (The only way it lets you back in is if your disconnected character hasn’t yet gone offline.)
