Its not some special difficult content that you need to undertake and prove your ability, its purely luck. And I dont know why anyone would say the equivalent of “Hey, I dont mind if I have a 10 million to one chance of winning lotto rather than a 1 million to one chance because hey, it should be difficult to get”.
Na, ah, no. After many hundreds of attempts I think I have put in more than enough effort and done more than enough mindless repeats of the same fight to have earned it well before now.
I’m still going to disagree. It should not be turned from content for everyone into a challenge that people currently doing not can but will fail.
Currently levels 10 and up can do it. There is no way they can tune a “challenge” even for level 35+. Low levels were invariably wiped by massive aoe during that boss. Timewalking dungeons at the moment are 50+. Do you even do them?
There’s a reason they removed the ability to put trials in instances. The reason is this dungeon, which people were rolling and deleting literally hundreds of trials to do.
How does pushing an exploit like that while eliminating a lot of the players who are currently able to do this dungeon and turning it into a “challenge” for best-geared max level players work?
Aaaah, I see. You’ve got the mount and are scared that you can’t brag anymore about having it when others get a more reliable chance.
2022 and there are still people who probably think they’ve achieved something extraordinary through having luck with a drop, lol.
Why?
Where exactly is the achievement in rolling a very large dice?
It’s a game. It should be played for enjoyment and fun.
Why did you make a new thread about it when there was already one with a blue post in it
The same people who keep saying it’s just pixels are the same people who can’t let go of the fact they don’t have it.
It’s fine to have some stuff be “lottos”. Just like it’s fine to have some behind achievements and some behind giant grind walls. The game should have a diversity of rewards, with diverse ways to acquire said rewards, and it shouldn’t be homogenized just to appeal to collectors to bank once they get it.
Not gonna lie, Blizz’s drop rate for seasonal mounts is ridiculous and to some point, unhealthy. I’ve seen bad drop rate in other games such as 0.01% and all that, but in content you can farm, not in time gated thing. But I’d not ask it ot be changed (I just don’t do it.)
They could add a different version or something, or the people who got it will feel angry that others have it when it took them way too much work (?) to get it.
If someone seriously is bragging with something like that then they should see the sun outside some more
no. some people like maybe a handful got it lucky in a few kills. people like me had to refer a friend outselfs 5-6 times and power level nearly 200 toons and run this boss nearly 200 times per day and then after 7 years YAYAYAYAYYAY!!! we finally got it.
so if you cant get it with the toons you have. we are sorry better lucky next year. wait next year you will either not be playing or you now have a full year to level a handful of more toons.
people who earned this mount by running this boss more times than many players is /playtime just dont want it to be given away for free. leave it all alone.
So what you’re saying is you bought an advantage and it still took you seven years to get it… but it doesn’t need to be changed?
That’s legit really sad.
If they made it 6 percent, instead of .03 percent, people (who got it the old way) would be salty for a couple of years; a lot of people would be happy and it would still take a bunch of attempts during the event (just not an insane amount.)
For example, the warfront mounts are about 6-7 percent and the only one I DON’T have is the donkey from Krix. But I was only doing them on this character.
It would be more reasonable, so if you did them on 3 or so characters you’d probably get it at least once during the event. If you had 50 alts to do it on you’d get it the first day.
I just came back and found out that the 3 mounts I’m missing, from Legion Paragon caches, drop more easily now. So I’m not mad that I tried to get them forever the OLD way, rather I’m HAPPY that I will probably finally get them (Dreamweaver, Nightfallen, and Farondis with 3 characters trying to get them.)
no what im saying is that instead of being a little whiny B and coming to the forums i took matters into my own hands and worked my A off to get it. and i got it. so instead of running to mommy (the forums) everytime you cant get something to have a temper tantrum just leave it alone or do like the rest of us… improvise adapt overcome
Sorry, I’m still trying to wrap my head around someone thinking spending like a hundred dollars for better odds on a single mount is clearly the best option.
I’m fine with them not changing the drop rate, or adding it to a vendor…
But it’s gonna be hilarious when they do because so many snowflakes are gonna lose their mind on these forums.
who said anyone did all those refer a friends for a single mount. you see my achievements and collections? lol. i have every raf mount and not to mention every world boss mount except nalak (still working on that guy). the big love rocket was just 1 of many reason we would make that many accounts.
it probably only cost around $200-$300 and what i got in return in game over the course of the 10 years or so that i had it was priceless because some of the stuff has since been removed.
It should be the same drop rate as the other holiday mounts, all of which I got years ago.
Yeah I don’t care if everyone disagrees, I’m with you.
There are over 700 obtainable mounts in the game and it’s ok for ONE to be super rare. Makes getting it all the better.
my advice would be to, uh, not do that
This would be a good compromise along with lowering the requirements to level 20 alts for a chance at the mount.
Keep the original Mount at the same percentage and the other two at a higher chance to get.
Blue rocket 5% and white 9%.
