When I first visited Unicus, the exclusive Ensembles seller, two of them showed up as already known even though I had not bought a single one yet, Slayer’s Golden Scarguards and Slayer’s Silver Scarguards.
I checked, and the sets originally showed up as collected on my Druid with the warning that they could not be used on that character. I don’t know if the originals were from a Demon Hunter I had leveled up and were DH-only or what. Regardless, once I purchased and learned them both from Unicus, they could then be used on my Druid. I just wanted to make a note of it for you transmog collectors out there.
Keep in mind, you don’t need to be the specific class to learn transmog items in retail now.
If you’d run the raid a few times on any character, all of the appearances which you looted would have been added to your collection.
That is how it is supposed to work now, but the sets were showing as “Collected” on my Druid, but he was barred from using them with a “not for this class” error until I purchased them and effectively relearned them from the Remix vendor. That removed the “not for this class” error I was seeing before. I just didn’t want anyone to miss out on having them for any of their Leather-wearing classes if they ran into the same error that I did.
Buy everything! Even if it says you’re missing 1 appearance, it does not count the greens. I popped a few where I gained more than the stated missing numbers.
I do plan on playing it safe and buying everything even if it says I already know it. I made a separate file on my desktop to track all of my Remix purchases instead of trusting the games internal checking mechanism for transmog.
yeah, it’ll award the “alternate appearance” options, which may be many, but you’re not getting any new appearances, just new names added to your alternate appearance dropdown menu for items you already have.
is that not how it’s meant to work?
it’s how it works in retail.
going to a vendor which sells stuff NOT for your class, the items will be red.
you buy them, they’re still added to your collection.
just went to triple-check.
was able to purchase and learn an ensemble from a class which it wasn’t meant for.
Yes the esembles are armor wide. meaning dh armor can be used as druid and so on. I said that in another thread that got buried. it says “already known” if you got the original lets say DH armor, but you click on it and it unlocks for all classes with leather.
this is exclusive to remix. without remix these are DH restricted. You can only get the DH set for other leather users and so on with the remix esembles.
Bronze is grossly abundant. Just buy everything and try and learn them. Any you truly can’t use can just be refunded.
Like for real we’re still 80+ days away and I’m at well over 1.5 million banked with everything besides class mounts bought and that’s only because with how fast leveling is and the fact there are achivements for doing each class, I’ve just made and plan to delete most of them. May keep the remix main but maybe not too.
