Just out of curiosity what is the least played class on SoD also why are they the least played?

Priest aren’t really at 43,000. Add ~60k to that number.

Nice I didn’t know about warcraft tavern that is very helpful.
It probably depends on how you measure, and what you care about. IronForge.Pro shows data based on raid logs that have been uploaded to WarcraftLogs.
On Crusader Strike for example, we see Paladin at 26,524 and Shaman at 24,741, so individually we could say Shaman is the least played class and the reason is likely that it is Horde only, while Paladin is the second least played because it is Alliance only. If we combine those numbers they would make the highest played.
Warlock is at 36,389, which is the lowest for a class that is available to both factions. Why are they slightly lower in numbers than some other classes? I don’t know. I imagine other population-based data would be different, because there are likely many warlocks throughout the world as summoning bots (figurative use of bot here, though both uses may be applicable).

Understandable, using the warcraft tavern I see shaman as the lowest because the server I am on is mostly alliance. So I take that with a grain of salt as the saying goes, rogue looks to be the lowest, then warrior and warlock. I assume warlock numbers are skewed based on what you mentioned which was summoning bots.
Most hunters are all bots

Used to be shaman before they mess up the math n make em the end boss. Now 40% of what you see in BGs are shamans.
