I’ll start - Disc priests
They all fit into the same stereotype of “If atonement didn’t heal you up, not my problem”
Absolutely scary to play around.

stagger weakness are absorption and dots, but it is completely ironic b/c absorption is design to counter stagger damage…
I don’t think I have a healer that I avoid. I’ve actually liked disc priests and would take one over a resto druid. Again not sure why but you would think resto would be ideal. I like pallies too. I guess they have a way to get you back up if they know to drop a big heal after you have cleared stagger and are still low.
FoTM shammies seem to be bad in general though.
I’ve never had any issues with any healers in particular other than disc priests. Idk what happened when this expansion dropped but I noticed an immediate, massive uptick in the number of disc priests that just have zero clue what they’re doing or somehow think they can go into group content and just play holy mage and heal everyone passively. It’s bizarre.
Holy Paladins
Its holy paladins and not even close.
Holy priests are not exactly great in my experience. Disc and Resto druid have been great. MW is great if they understand the class and “OMG PLEASE NO! NO!” if they don’t…
Resto shaman is all over the place. Probably a lot of FOTM causing that.
Holy Priests are actually good - they put them wings on us and it boots our own heals plus theirs - seemingly short cool down on that
I have yet to find one that is good at keeping the group alive through unavoidable damage. I have started avoiding both Holy specs for basically the same reason. I assume most of the good priest players are playing Disc
I’d probably say :
Tier | Healer |
---|---|
S | Disc Priest, RDruid |
A | Mistweaver Monk |
B | Preservation, Holy Priest |
C | R Shaman |
D | Holy Paladin |
Symbol of Hope can be pretty good for us too. I believe its cooldown is a bit long for its value add, but Brew has had gaps in defensive usage generally that this helps get fort brew back up for self sustain. But definitely better in DF.
Id say HPal as well.
The “spot” healing is great for other tanks as the damage they take is true damage and once its healed you’re laughing.
For BrM with constant damage taken any healer with a bit of HoT play is amazing as it counter acts stagger.
That being said, Ive played with some great HPals and we were flyin
