Learning WW

Whats the best way to go about learning the WW rotation/priority list without weighing your group down too much?

training dummy, dungeons below your skill/gear level, LFR, maybe the maw

Start with peak of serenity website as a starter guide.

Only overalp tiger palm X2 on open, then open with fists of fury from there get to rising sun kick and whirling dragon punch for single target as fast as possible and rotate tiger palm and blackout kick and repeat rotation. Don’t overlap skills as that’s how the mastery works. The less you overlap pressing the same skills, the more damage you will do.

don’t use spinning crane kick for single target at all. I don’t use it and get good numbers.

only use expel harm when you need chi to get back fists of fury.

Basically you want to use SEF when you have enough Chi resources for a rotation. What I like to do is wait for my chi to accumulate (expel harm, tiger palm, or chi burst) tag mulitple mobs with the rotation. Make sure your only really pressing spinning crane kick when you have multiple stacks. Taking dance of Chi-ji right now is a lot of fun, but you might get unlucky and miss alot of procs, it depends on your luck and the amount of chi you spend. IMO I usually dont like to black out kick unless im in a weird spot mid rotation or its a free kick, or im chi capped.

Its honestly just a spec you need to play alot before you start doing everything without even thinking. It flows really well and thats whats important. Finding the gameplay flow will tell you more then most players can write up.

Edit- You can also change the gameplay up, right now serenity needs some buffs but it does really change the way you spend and play.

For example, with WoO and Serenity, you can skip the FoF button entirely during your burst window and you will do absurd amounts of damage by just alternating black out kicks and rising sun kicks (ignoring hit combo and mastery to) Its quit good but its not good enough to be used outside of, maybe pvp if your really darn good at it.

Dance of Chi Ji is good for mythic+ dungeons I would say, but for single target raid you want hit combo.

Take Hit Combo until you have a rotation you like. Hit Combo visually tells you if you are not hitting the same thing twice. Soon as you do, the buff drops. There is weak auras for this as well. I just imagine I am playing a fighting game and have been addicted since.

while i mostly agree, he should be running dance of chi gi talent and using Spinning Crane Kick when it procs no matter what, single target or not. the amount of dps it produces is insane. Its also a nice way to keep the mastery going. filling in with crank kick procs, chi wave, and expel harm are good ways to keep mastery goin when you have nothing left to press.
