Learning to raid as Arms

I’ve only ever played Protection Warrior (and other melee DPS classes like Rogue) but I’d like to learn to raid as Arms.

Are the WowHead and IcyVeins guides considered the best resource for talent builds and rotation?

I noticed the latter has a Single Target Raid build and a Mythic+ build. Should the Mythic+ build be used for raid fights like Primal Council?

Any advice is appreciated .

For the most part, Wowhead does have solid builds. However there’s not really a one-size fits all thing for Arms. On a fight by fight basis (and even based on your raid team’s composition).

For example Kurog Grimtotem on Heroic has multiple points on the fight where adds appear. I would avoid full on AoE Build here because most of the fight doesn’t have a ton of additonal enemies, but I’d also would avoid Fatility single target builds because the fatality debuff will probably fall off. Luckily this one is pretty easy and you spec out of Fatality and move that point to Sweeping Strikes. Something similar also works well on Razageth.

Likewise a fight like council you’re gonna go full AoE because targets.

Your best bet on what builds to run should be looking at Warcraftlogs.com and seeing what’s being run on a fight by fight basis and than confirming that build would be fine for your group. For example a full AoE build might be required for Brood Keeper if you’re on add Duty, but you may be just full single target and on the boss the whole time.
