Both are on par with each other learning curve wise in PvE. In PvP, I’d argue Rogues are harder to learn to play well due to the amount of cooldowns they have.
Thus Warriors are easier.
Stance dancing takes a lot of practice to pull off flawlessly, Rogues don’t have such things. When you play a Rogue for a long time, outside of cooldowns, the rotation in PvP becomes fairly straight forward. Warriors have to be crafty in 1v1 scenarios to come out on top.
Rogues easier here.
This can vary depending on who you ask. In PvE, there are little tricks Rogues have to optimize their energy, but fairly straight forward. Warriors on the other hand can easily spam abilities with what they have.
In PvP however, It’s easier to manage energy with a Rogue because if you somehow overlook and overspent it, you can use cooldowns to pool it back up again. Warriors don’t have such luxury and heavily rely on hits/crits.
Rogues easier again in PvP, PvE they are both on par.
Not necessarily the effort, but allows you to fill more rolls than a Rogue. If you like the idea of switching up your instance runs by tanking or dps’ing, then Warriors are great. If you think you’ll end up going dps 100% of the time, then may as well go Rogue instead.
They do, however Rogues also need good gear to matter in World PvP or battlegrounds. Although you can stunlock your foes and use cooldowns to your advantage, if your gear is semi-okay; you won’t be able to kill your target fast enough before reinforcements.
Both are easy to get into, hard to master, but Rogues have the edge due to stealth. The fact how you can choose your fights is huge. You can stealth past any kind of danger, and go directly for your quest objective down a cave for example.
