Leap into Hoppy Adventures with the Hoplet Pet

Considering it’s the first time they’ve done this but not the first pet that was released like this, yes.

It’s not the first time we’ve seen the Classic stuff end up solo on the cash shop for retail. And it’s been a year. So it was bound to end up somewhere— shop or post. Much of this stuff has been cycling around.

yeah! it is a very unique one! it is you sighing and pulling out your wallet on the desk buying this little rabbit!

When we said that rewards should not be limited to Classic realms, you knew this is not what we meant. If I don’t already have this from the promotion, attempting to charge me again, for something that I already have on Classic, that I never play, is not a good look.

I know you aren’t joking, but I’m tired and that sentence just struck me funny!

I have a feeling, since it’s only a limited time, it will be on the TP.

Probably… but it was 7 dollars so I snagged him.

A cute pet but I’m not happy that Blizz is double dipping.
This was part of a past sub bundle with the matching rabbit mount but it was only given in the bundle in classic. Many other pets have been like this too.
Now after many months we finally got it in retail but we have to pay more? Come on. It’s already earned in the classic version but you wanna charge arbitrarily for retail version.
At least it may come to the trading post later but with how expensive the TP is getting and how little tender we get it’s getting harder and harder to afford the decent items unless you hoard a lot of tenders.

In the future these pets that come in a sub bundle should be given to classic AND retail games, not just one game version and later sold on the store on the other.

I’m glad that the Classic-exclusive pets are making their way into retail for collectors, but I have to express my disappointment that those of us who already own this pet in Classic will now have to pay again to earn access to it in our retail game as well.

Pet collecting has long been one of my favourite aspects of the game, and this divide between Classic and Retail pets has been frustrating to say the least. It’s good that you seem to be bridging that divide, and I’m not against this being offered in the shop at all (for those who might have missed out on its previous release), but I think it’s a bad look to make people who already earned this pet pay for it once again just to own it in the other version of the game when it should be tied to our account.

No fair! Gnomes can use that as a pet and mount.

You do know it’s year of the Dragon right?

Awwww what a cute baby Night Elf :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I hope this buys us more dungeons in War Within

They sell the mounts in the shop and give them with the 6 month sub. Now they’re giving people a chance to get the pets that we never had access to a year later. How is it double dipping if they’ve never been available for retail and everyone can buy it when it wasn’t even for sale before?

More than what? It was never available before in retail.

Trading Post prices are not going up. The first few months of the Post had mounts and pets at 100-150 Tender higher than they are now.

looks… really lame

All I can say is they are not keeping Classic WoW Classic at all by giving player base Battle pets we never had back in the day…it makes it non Classic then by doing so…let those players stick with what pets were available back in the day…not give them ones that are brand new and never in the game before.

Heh. I guess this is how the monetization wagon is gonna roll. I paid for the big sub so I get the bits for free… if I find any blizz balance I might get it but the double dipping is a bit scummy.

@Vhx - that’s definitely The Darkmoon Rabbit - I can remember when it took many people to bring it down lol

instead of seeing new purchases available in the wowshop, i would prefer to see new collectibles added to the game that can be obtained via gameplay.

maybe add this pet as a drop to a dungeon boss, put in a new rare elite that can drop it, put in a quest chain that would award the pet, etc.

We have tried to tell Blizzard this but they keep giving into the lazy player base we have now…

the hat thing is cute on him lol
