Good thing clickbait isn’t in the ToS, but considering all the butt-hurt being caused by there being more freedom of choice for warlocks, do you imagine people will be upset about forsaken shadow paladins devoted to the forgotten shadow when that stuff eventually gets datamined and leaked - if it were to ever happen?
It’s difficult to predict exactly how people will react to hypothetical leaked information about forsaken shadow paladins devoted to the forgotten shadow. Reactions to such information would largely depend on the context, the specific details of the leak, and the preferences of the gaming community.
In the gaming community, changes to existing classes or the introduction of new ones can often generate mixed reactions. Some players may welcome the addition of new options and expanded choices, while others might be resistant to change or have concerns about balancing issues. Additionally, the response could vary depending on how well the new class fits into the lore and the overall gameplay experience.
Ultimately, the impact of leaked information on the gaming community would be subjective and varied. It would be best to wait for official announcements or releases to gauge the community’s reaction accurately.

Okay so…I fell for the bait.
Forsaken Paladins have been asked for since WoTLK. I remember a plethora of threads and arguments for them, as well as NPC examples.
Now we even have “light forged undead” as a thing. There isn’t much stopping it now.

Undead paladin already exists in WoW.

Nothing matters anymore, so why not.
Nothing has to make sense, nothing has to tie into a story. Its all beyond useless. Attempting to keep any lore in check is a lost endeavor.
If all races can be all classes, there should at least be negatives to picking a class. But that wont happen.

WoW’s story have never made sense.

It has been in lore since WIII and Classic
Undead paladins in Naxxramas, in the scarlet crusade - and shadow themed paladins would be great for the void elf and forsaken themed ones - for night elven “night warriors” of elune…
I demand financial compensation and some juice for the emotional turmoil this thread put my through.
Call a plumber if your shadow paladin spells are leaking.
I wouldn’t have a single problem with any class for any race if they re-skinned it and re-named it to something else while just keeping the gameplay mechanics the same.
They could easily come up with some things to fit for it. Hell, necromancer could literally just be re-skinned and renamed warlock. Though I would rather it be its own class.

i mean we can easily see the first portion of the post by mousing over.
That would be hilarious, and at the same time i’d be interested in such a thing if they gave Forsaken Paladins that whenever they get around to adding em. i’m guessing they’re gonna have Forsaken Paladins go the route of Sir Zeliek, basically having such a strong connection with the light and zeal that the character can still channel it, but time will tell.

Discipline Priests have been the #1 salt mine for people who despise the idea of Light users engaging in Shadow at any point. Unfortunately now Shadow has been retconned to Void and Blizzard is extremely inconsistent on what the hell Void is and how it interacts with Light, so at this point I don’t think it even matters anymore.

They’re also driven insane from it, so not a good baseline

Nope, velves and undead paladins will be using Light, and people are gonna shut up and like it.
We’ll get w/e lore to justify it AND YOU WILL LIKE IT
I’m sure some people will complain and even though I think lightforged draenei warlocks sounds dumb as all get out, there’s ultimately a lot of subjectivity to this as lore can be crafted in any which way.
Personally a concept like forsaken paladins seems like a concept that makes sense in a twisted concept and the lore of how the light works can make it work. Same concept with an undead druid but all his forms are twisted/gnarled, and his plant based spells are rotted, etc.
Whereas when you start talking about a LIGHTFORGED race dabbling in fel magic I’m just like eh that just doesn’t work…unless you’re going to give them that holy Nazrethiam treatment where they summon holy demons and use holy versions of warlock abilities. Doubt that happens.
Look at the maiden boss fight in tomb of Sarg for reference.
LFD locks will be a more refined version
The maiden of virtue is originally a holy being twisted by fel magic over time to the point of becoming unstable and corrupt, and ultimately the big mechanic is to not mix the different energies together because they don’t go together. If you do…boom.
Not really a great example to hang your hat on.

Did she go boom?
She made us go boom, minus some minor skin blemishes, but she didn’t go boom. And she has the energies inside her.
LFD will perfect it, they’ll look hawt while not going boom.
Bring on the void light.
(Do a quick google search of Destiny 2 void titans).
It would be awesome.
