No, their game is completely different from a standard MMMO.
I donât think it would work like that. That type of thinking is like saying the Warcraft MMO would be like having 50 Utherâs running around back when we were playing WC3.
So what info is there about the LoL MMORPG?
Honestly Iâd have to see some gameplay before I made any moves to support it.
None, thatâs the thing we donât know, you made a really weird assumption about it that makes little sense. WoW started off like LoL too with the Warcraft RTS and classes being based on the WC3 heroâs.
If itâs a real MMO and not some weird instanced game or something your comment makes zero sense.
Itâs much more likely they will go the WoW route and use the LoL heroâs as the major lore characters while players get to play their custom character with a class likely based on what the LoL heroâs can do. You know, like every other MMO made.
Sure that can do something weird, but that is unlikely if they want to make a MMO.
I make the assumption because I figured itâs a MOBA that really doesnât have any possibility of side characters IIRC. So are we gonna be summoners or the âheroesâ that the summoners summon?
You do know there is a large amount of lore and world building for LoL right? The heroâs are not just some random people summoned from the void. LoL has at least WoW level lore.
The short amount I played I never really âpaid attentionâ to it because ya know, no one really roleplays on MOBAs TBH.
Though me being the pirate fan I am I wanted to play Gangplank but with how hard he was to play and how toxic the game was, I stuck with Graves.
I take it you have very limited knowledge of the LoL universe that has been established for a number of years now. There are no âsummonersâ anymore, they have been retconned out of the lore ever since there revamp of the lore.
With side characters, there is a plethora of character bioâs and short stories featuring one off and reoccurring side characters.
Tell me how that works for you on, say, Mythic KJ.
That was 2 expansions ago. Go take a few of your friends to that, try and win, and tell me how that goes.
Weâll be waiting here.
It doesnât matter that KJ is in an instance. Nothing about any of the instanced fights have any real bearing on their difficulty. They could just as easily be done outdoors.
Want proof? Just look at SL, where the instanced dungeons⌠are ACTUAL LOCATIONS out in the world.
Instances only exist so that, LITERALLY, fifty thousand people arenât standing out trying to kill a boss.
Ashes of Creation will crash and burn though, and even the biggest Ashes fanboys have already hedged their bets saying âwell of course it wonât beat WoW, itâs a niche gameâ, even though it is very obviously including certain forms of content and the brand ambassadors are making claims about the game to try to reach specific audiences who will in reality simply not stick with that game.
There are ways to topple WoW, but âletâs put 80% of our dungeon/raid content in the open worldâ is 100% NOT the way to go.
WoWâs biggest strength is the way its dungeon and raid content works, hands down no contest. Any game that has a worse dungeon and raid experience because âmuh PvPâ will never win over that audience.
They are quiet because they donât care to communicate. Iâm sure they barely care about the game at this point
Iâd like to see an American Dad MMO that lets us play as friends of Steve.
You travel around Langley Falls doing missions for random townies, while engaging in shenanigans with Roger and his countless personas. Also, Toshiâs sister.
