Since the October 22 update, literally every single time I log out or reload my game, my layout gets reset and I have to change the layout, then change it back to correct it.
Searched for an answer and read to turn off read only for my WTF folder & its subfolders but I’m still sadly having the same issue.
Also tried submitting a ticket and only got an AI response. Asked for a human and got another bot that basically told me to F off and ask the community for help.
Anyone else have this issue since the update, and anyone know of a fix?

One character or all? Might try deleting the corresponding edit-mode-cache-account.txt or edit-mode-cache-character.txt while in-game then doing a reloadui.

Have you tried running WoW as an administrator?
It’s been happening to me and a lot of other folks, too, since that update. The fact that it’s only some of us makes it all the more frustrating. I imagine if we were all dealing with it, we’d have gotten more of an answer/solution by now.

Happens to me as well. I’ve tried disabling all addons and everything I can think of. Nothing seems to work. I’ve submitted a bug report about it but nothing has come of it yet.

Happening to me too. The response I got was to reset the UI.
rename the wtf, cache and interface folders to wtfold, cacheold and interfaceold.
didn’t work.
just submitted another ticket this morning.
this is the most broken expansion blizz has ever launched.

I grabbed the addon bartender4, this seems to be working.

Thanks! Was expecting Blizzard to provide a fix but I guess addon developers are better coders.
Do you know if it works with the layouts I already made, or do I have to remake everything with bartender?
Bartender only handles bars, you’ll need to set them up with the addon.

Yep elvenbane is correct, I had to set up my first profile, then there is a “copy from” on the profiles tab. so just set it up once and copy to every alt…its a disappointment that blizz has gone the way of AI, i’ve literally received the exact same reply 3 times now trying to get to a rep…haven’t tried the phone route yet though 
Yeah, I setup a Default profile and then just set each char to use that rather than the character specific ones.
