I teleport out of the blue to another layer where the area is full of enemy.
what the hell is this? it’s really hell not a game if people keep teleporting between layers and on top of that whenever the server is adding / removing a layer, people get shuffled between layers automatically.
Yes the game can swap you between layers without you doing anything.
It’s a feature not a bug.
You aren’t supposed to have full control of your layer lil bro.

Yeah, this was happening back at the start of anniversary too. Id kill several mobs, go to loot and get layer swapped. Clear out a camp and Layer swapped into a fresh one at low health. Layer swapped mid escort quest.
I don’t remember that being an issue with the original layering.
Layers are constantly closing and opening. If your on a layer that closes you will get phased.

They don’t even like that you can see the layers with addons and have said the addons are usually wrong.
They don’t even expose the layer you are on in the API. The addons guess at it.

1st people using WA to jump on the layer they want, that swapping between layers means they are controlling how the layer works, didn’t you learn the basics in school?

2nd people can demand layer’s design change and it can happen, blizzard can easily make layers only swap players in major city or w/e.

I don’t like it either. I actually died from that a couple times when I was leveling. Stuff would spawn on top of my head because of a layer switch.
You can do it like 1 or 2 times then you get put on a timer before you can do it again.
Also the game can swap you at any time for a lot of reasons.

Yes but it’s supposed to do it with minimal impact when it’s not because you joined a party.
IE when you land on a flight path or switch zones or whatever, you know not in the middle of combat.
Wrong, on Anniversary they swap you more to balance layers so they are 50/50 horde and alliance.
They swap you a lot more to balance. If you think you swapping to an ally layer will save you it won’t.
The game will balance you back or other ally.
