Layers for Grobbulus please

Having no layers because it’s an “RP” server is ludicrous. Most RPers left the server a long time ago. We’re extremely behind in the Scarab Lord grindfest.

Please help Blizzard.

Layers suck. No layers on grob please, OP is just mad because alliance on Grob couldn’t get control of the bugs from the horde last night.

Taz’Dingo!!!

Also, it’s a patent falsehood that most RPers left the server a long time ago.

OP: go back to whatever server you didn’t RP on before (it probably has layers)

No layers, thanks. I want the people I see to actually be there and not fade away into another layer. Layers ruin world PVP.

I’m not concerned about obtaining the bugs from the Horde. I’m concerned about how other servers are progressing in comparison to mine. For example, an EU guild farmed the entire Scarab Lord quest line (Excluding Red Shard) in under 24 hours. They have four layers. They had plenty of World PVP action. But due to multiple layers, they are able to farm more bugs which results in more Carapace Fragments being available.

There is no reasonable explanation as to why Grobbulus has been denied layers.

Y’all ran the RPers off the RP server? That’s messed up…

We aren’t on those other servers. Their progress relative to ours is irrelevant. If you really care about it, go ahead and move to one of those servers that’s doing it faster.

There’s plenty of RP. About what you expect on any RPPVP server. A chunk of people just see the PvP tag and blindly roll in.

That is a sad way to look at it. Not to mention, server transfers are locked.
Why are you against improving our ability to move into AQ? I understand people want around the same timeline as Vanilla, however that has not been a plausible effort since Classic launched. Content is cleared quickly, it is the state of MMORPG’s now.

They didn’t run all the RPers off the server, that’s a lie, but they do like to actively disrupt open world RP, at least on the horde side, which is a dick move.

Hi. It’s Vorena above. I generally post everything here from my alliance toon since that was my first character, but I realize now if I’m going to opine on this thread I should post from my character that’s actually on grob. I don’t care either what the PvP megaservers are doing. I’m fine with a slow pace on the war effort. My alliance RP server isn’t opening the gates until August 18, gives all the guilds time to get scarab lords of their own.

Layers really kill the game, and are a terrible idea, if you talk to anyone on a server with layers, the zones seem empty, even though they aren’t and make the game feel like a single player game outside of cities and instances. I am 1000% against layers on grob.

I’m sure there is. I guess…I just expected the RP servers to be mostly RP. LIke, if you weren’t RPing you were the odd man out. Guess that’s just a really old school way to look at things.

That’s how it was at launch, but somewhere along the way that got lost and now RPers are the minority on both RP-PvP servers.

The problem isn’t layers, the problem is Blizzard overstuffing Vanilla maps with Retail capacity.

We don’t have Outland, Northrend, etc to populate. We have Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms.

Poor oversight, but I enjoy the maps populated and full of life.

I’m not. But I am against layering, unequivocally.

These things can coexist. Just like IRL I enjoy money, but I’m not willing to drink a gallon of rotten milk as a stunt to get it.

If other people want to rush through content because that’s what they enjoy, that’s fine. They can do that and I wish them well. It doesn’t detract from my ability to enjoy the game how I want. But when they start wanting things like layering that do change the game for everyone whether they want it or not? Yeah I’m gonna be in opposition to it, because now it does affect me.

Seems to be that way on Bloodsail too. It’s fine, but RPers are definitely the minority.

Layers were a mistake a year ago and they are still a mistake now. Also we have no problem removing horde from hives when we care to do so.

Many of us left Grobbulus because of non-RPers like you, who ruined the experience. Now you want to ruin what little is left.

Also don’t agree with this. There’s more RP now than there was back in August.

You obviously have no clue what’s going on in Grobbulus. The Rp scene is vibrant, we just had a council vote with over 200 individual votes. Grobb is fine with one and only one layer

Also I heard there was a meeting where the top guilds are holding off on turn ins so we get the most Scarab Lords and get time to enjoy the wpvp.

We probably could’ve used layers on day 1 of the Silithus grind when it took 10+ seconds to cast spells and players could reliably exploit the CH guards by luring them into the hives

But currently things have slowed down a bit
