ohh so in other words blizzard has not verified this? because I suggested only doing it in non contested zones (under lvl 20) and they said not possible the entire map has to be a layer.
When did Blizzard ever respond to anything about layering, outside of the Dev interviews. That sounds like someone else’s uninformed response.
well your like “everything in this video would be fixed with this method” that is nice but if blizz isnt going to do that it doesnt matter.
Sure, but that’s why we’re posting here, to convince Blizzard to do it.
no point…you need to get tipsout to make a video that is all they listen to
Yeah… no…
I thought that was TB (RIP TB) on the photo for it, but I never was sure. I miss the heck out of him too. I kind of would’ve liked to have seen his take on Classic WoW because if he were alive you KNOW that if he were willing to try it he would’ve been in Beta. Although given his stance on not playing anymore button mashing MMO’s I don’t think he would have agreed to even look at it.
They do, and the tech is so advanced they can be on the same server and auto create and collapse when needed without manually needing to be merged at a later date. They’re currently ironing it out on the Beta, which is where thing get worked out so they function properly on live servers.
That are all “connected realms” (aka new way of merging servers while pretending you didn’t merge servers) and also sharded with other non-connected realms.
So those are great examples if connected realms and sharding is what you’re shooting for…because it’s how the low pop on those servers is handled.
Its purpose is to make the initial release flow smoothly.
Layering is definitely not something that should remain and is harmful to the community feel. Even in that video people can’t see guildies or friends without having to invite them.
The amount of ignorance in thos post is staggering.
Just insult and don’t back up your statement. Typical trolls.
That’s not an insult. Its a factual statement.
You’re argumentatively bankrupt. Go play hearthstone with the children.
Really?
-
Literally every single pserver dev (every single one) has 100% confirmed they guesed on 100% of all data they used for abilities and mobs (not very blizzlike)
-
Vanilla had a cap of ONLY 3000 people per server back in vanilla. Most pservers have caps closer to 10000 (not very blizzlike)
-
Every single class on every single pserver has something wrong with it that wasn’t part of vanilla. EG. The imp was NOT that strong like it is on pservers and would 100% get 1 shot (not very blizzlike)
You have no argument to stand on. Because you know nothing about what you are talking about. So kindly just be quiet.
Nothing you pointed out related to LAYERING (which is not blizzlike in classic). Go play hearthstone, kiddo.
Layering won’t ruin Classic but I hear that streamers will.
Well layering has already done its damage or will once its in.
Once its put in, but hopefully they will deliver it like they promised new layer after server max pop is capped and limit the amount people can use them to take advantage of.
A lot of people are of such low character that they’ll take a version of Vanilla with any changes without complaint. Especially pirate server players who were used to playing on garbage not-Blizzard quality versions. Inviting them to private consultations and closed and open betas is just another example of garbage in=garbage out.
Just like $$ and impatient kids with dim wisdom ruined retail, they’ve ruined a real recreation of a Vanilla experience at pre-Activision Blizzard quality levels.
Thanks dudes.
That’ll never happen.
I also hear regular players will ruin Classic, and casuals, and modern server architecture, and an updated client that runs in 64 bit, and…
drones on and on, listing endless things that have been bandied about on this forum and elsewhere as potential “Classic Killers.”
TL;DR – Folks are just mad it’s not a Blizzard-run private server.
