Layering NOW

Arugal has had unplayable queues for over two weeks now and only getting worst. A queue of 3-7 hours, starting at midday is unacceptable Blizzard. We are paying you a subscription fee to PLAY the game.

People with the luxury of being able to login all day are unfortunately over represented in these forums and thus the anti-layering players no doubt represent a vocal minority

The server is already huge and in no way similar to a classic economy. The #nochanges brigade would see temporary layering quashed based on economic justification, when the economy is already ridiculously inflated. 200g per lotus, with a Mafia controlling supply??

The people saying “layering will ruin the community” haven’t had half their guild unable to login for raid, decimate raid nights, ruin relationships within guilds and cause friends to not want to Logon at all because they know they won’t even be able to get past the queue.

I don’t care if a temporarily layered game is ‘Not the Game’ a vocal minority signed up for. It is better than no game at all for the vast majority.

At the end of the day, we’re paying for a game we are unable to play at the moment, this is entirely unacceptable Blizzard.

Covid social distancing is a temporary situation, needing a temporary solution. Step up to the plate and institute rapid changes like every other business on the planet.

Permanently transferring to low population servers is not a solution for a temporary problem. Don’t even engage in that argument. Nor is the “this is what you signed up for” argument. Small queues are fine. Multi-hour, never decreasing, unable to ever raid queues are not. They are entirely unacceptable.

Blizzard, please fix this ASAP

Now. Right now.

Bump. I’m paying a subscription to miss guild ZG on opening night, because I couldn’t log on at midday.

Sitting in queue for 2.5 hours only to get disconnected and have it reset to 5 hours is ridiculous.

Yeah, it’s unreal how many people are against layering with some entirely false justification of how it isn’t like vanilla. So it damages the economy by dropping all the hyperinflated prices? Wow, I can’t imagine suffering through that. Would much rather not get to raid anymore because it takes 3 hours to log in.

Should’ve gone away from the big servers then. Welcome to classic.

Having a 4-5 hour queue on a raid night is absurd. Turn layering back on.

we had people log in 5.5 hours before raid time ( 2pm server ) and still miss the raid.

Not everyone can log on 3-4 hours before raid because of job and family obligations. I really hope they decide to layer temporarily so we can actually play and not have half the raid missing. If this keeps up I foresee guilds dying because people will give up fighting queues and unsub

This guy/gal gets it. I couldn’t have said it better myself and agree with everything OP said.

A lot of people did. That’s the main reason I personally switched to Sulfurus from Herod on the opening of Classic, to get away from these insane queues. Now with the opening of these transfers, they have forced it on us.

For the love of god bring back layer ASAP. I’m having to log on at 9am and have wow running in the background while I’m working all day just to have peace of mind that I’ll be able to get on for raid at night.

100% agree, even the estimation times they gave blew out considerably, logged in at 2:33 to a 88min to actually getting on just after 5pm

i agree. temporary layering is the best and only acceptable sollution to this problem and needs to happen now.

Hate to say it… I came back after being disappointed the last few years with retail, and I get the game became popular suddenly with everyone at home but the mismanagement by blizzard (AS IF THEY HAVEN’T BEEN THROUGH THIS BEFORE) just has me losing all faith. Canceling subscription, why am I paying for something I can’t play. Oh, unless I choose to start all over again somewhere else without friends.

That’s why you start an alt from scratch on a server with no queues. Then you have options. You won’t be on here writing novels. You’ll be playing the game!

Spread out if we need more servers we ask for F R E S H! Can’t ask for more servers when the ones we do have aren’t even being utilized fully. While a few are stacked to the rafters…

That works for some people, but those of us who enjoy the friendships you make, and dont have hours of time to put into getting as far as we’ve been able to come already aren’t going to spend even more time spread out everywhere. I came to play my game, on my story line, with my friends and that’s just not going to happen because Blizzard can’t figure out population control EVEN AFTER having experience with this 15 years ago.

Let me add… you are spending $12-15 a month to have them maintain the game. Doesn’t seem like much maintenance is happening, just mismanagement.

Talk some of them into rolling with you or expand your friends list.
