I cant seem to layer to join my friends! i join there group and go to there dot but cant seem them! Even after relogging and going in and out of outlands portal! Plz fix this

I had the same issue earlier…I still don’t quite understand all the layering or how to get it to toggle. I just ended up swapping to an alt for awhile and it just magically fixed itself for me. One of the things I’d be glad to go back to is the old server structures lol…this is definitely frustrating dealing with layering. Maybe someone here has some good tips…hopefully.
layers are cooked. Can’t summon the group members for hours now

Really despise not having 1 or 2 servers to choose from, idk how long i can handle this crap, can’t even see people I’m in party with no matter how long you wait

Yea being a healer i cant even quest… I have a rogue budy who im grouped with who was goig nto be my dps but we cant even see each other

This is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. HOW DO YOU LAUNCH THE GAME AND KNOW THAT PEOPLE WILL PLAY WITH THEIR FRIENDS AND WE CAN’T EVEN SEE EACH OTHER.
Every time you sit there and try to stop bad faith actors you punish your playerbase who are trying to just play the game with their friends.
Maybe you could hire game masters again and just permaban the people you’re trying to prevent from abusing your game and leave us alone man. Your solutions do NOT work.
FIX LAYERING RIGHT NOW. RIGHT NOW.

me and my buddies just found a dungeon and kept running in and out of it until we all got on the same layer, took about 15-20 minutes but we finally got it.

Friends and I had some success with layering through the use of entering and exiting dungeons. But it seemed to only work if we got the exact same tick of world latency when leaving the dungeon. Even then it seemed to stop working most of the time later. Sincerely hope they fix this soon

Go as a group to the dark portal, walk out of outlands back in. youll be on same layer. its still not fixed just started workign

Oh shut up… Do you know what its like to literally be physically sitting right next to someone and can’t play with them? Imagine being a healer and can’t quest with your dps friend? Stop simping for a billion dollar company that can’t get anything right ever

we tried for 7 hours…
This is annoying… been trying to get on the same layer with a GROUPED friend and nope we can’t. Gotta luv the ineptitude of this small indie company is amazing.
I wonder how long will the servers have to go down to fix this miss. /smh
Having the same issue and cannot quest with my husband because of it.
With this and the overpopulation issues, I’m about ready to ask for a refund of my boosts (can delete the characters, idc) and of my remaining game time… not that I expect Blizzard to care or do it. I would much rather have the issues resolved.
I feel like Blizzard despises its players for existing as an obstacle between them and our wallets. Wow consistently gets more expensive despite the continuous drop in quality and a lack of accountability.
Anyway, I know this is just talk and won’t matter so I guess I’m just venting frustration out into the universe.
Edit: The situation seems to have improved. Have been able to play with my husband this evening and the layers seem less overcrowded.
I’m glad and grateful that it is being addressed.

Worst part is that this has been going on since pre-patch launched and it still hasn’t been fixed. It’s horrible for trying to summon people to dungeons as well. I got a group of 5 including myself, and we’re never on the same layer, usually spread across multiple. We were hoping this would be fixed by now, but it still is going on weeks later. This issue isn’t getting enough attention clearly. It’s quite the significant problem, too.
