Layering Exploits used for MC clear from APES

MC clear doesn’t effect me. But yeah, looking at the AH, this game is messed up from Layering and over population.

I’m trying to imagine the hate had Blizzard not layered at release. And I would have been applauding their decision not to layer…and probably in queue forever.

Remember in the release of BC? There was some sort of exploit where people got thousands of gold? Those people were banned. If only reputation were gold.

Unfortunately this is true. People think exploiting cheats is ok.

We need the following:

The first response we need from Blizzard is to acknowledge that this is an exploit. As in, a very concise and clear statement that exploiting layer hopping for personal gain is against the rules of the game.

Everything else should move on from there, including fixing the exploit, rolling back gains (including level XP aka World’s First 60, including MC clearing including World’s First MC clear). Lastly, suspensions should be made, and this absolutely includes streamers, specifically the extremely large ones that provide Blizzard with a constant flow of free marketing.

Blizzard is in a tough spot. For them to truly acknowledge this exploit means they need to take action against the massive free marketing they are receiving via Twitch streamers. Make no mistake, these streamers provide Blizzard with massive marketing efforts for free. If Blizzard bans these streamers then they are going to take a lot of heat.

It is a tough spot: A) Hurt the community but get free marketing (allow exploit + streamers) or B) Repair trust with the community, fix the exploit, suspend abusers (streamers) and lose free marketing.

Layering will eventually go away, and hopefully the damage to certain servers wont be to severe… Normally i sort of wouldent care, but many of these that impact the servers, do it, and move on, and never look back… we that are in it for the long run and actually like classic for the social experience, are left to clean up the mess…

What is the difference between dynamic spawns and layers? Nothing really guilds like Apes did this on private servers too.

I am so Impressed by this! No really I am. For all off the people who complained to no end about how LFD, LFR and addons would ruin the game by destroying the classic experience but layering is A OK!!

Disappointed that this has allowed the economy to get out of control. Even more disappointed that the powers that be haven’t rolled out penalties, but I’m still hopeful that they will.
