Layering destroyed Retail, and now is destroying Classic. Seems Blizzard is worried about catering to the snowflakes that destroyed Retail instead of making a true Vanilla experience. With layer hopping, and recent exploits that destroyed gear progression, and the economy Classic is a bust. It is sad that a couple nerds can recreate what Blizzard cannot. I would rather see 100k queues than layering that would force a server to server population balance.
