Layering Concerns

Me and my brother have played WoW since early 2005. We started discussing how this layering would possibly affect the classic leveling experience.

One of our major concerns is, Rare spawn creatures.

One of the big ticket items people try get early is from a low level 30s rare spawn, a trinket called “Tidal Charm” which has a stun effect and is very useful for PvP. It only drops off this one rare spawn.

With Layering, we had concerns that people would push to level 25-28 very quickly and form a group to try get the Tidal Charm. Now under normal situation, this is fair play. They got there first, killed it first, it dropped? They earned it.

But with Layering, this potentially allows players to simulate a problem that occurred in the retail version of WoW and rare enemies with rare loot - being able to switch layers for a fresh spawn of said enemy.

Do we have any idea if switching layers will respawn rare enemies? This could
become a major issue if people abuse this and constantly switch layers to
eradicate rare spawns from every layer for key items of value. This became a big
problem in the modern game especially post Warlords of Draenor where people
even made addons to make switching and taking key rare spawns from different
layers easier.

Am I completely off base with this? Has blizzard already said this won’t be a problem?

You’re not allowed to have concerns. Layering is perfect, Blizzard is perfect, and if you even dare to THINK otherwise then you’re trolling.

You’re overreacting dude. You don’t know anything about how “layering” works. You’re blowing this out of proportion. It’s temporary. The door is that way -->

that’s the only way spawns can work. they can’t exist across all layers because an invisible entity could tag them. they can’t exist on a single layer because it might never spawn on any other layer. so each one will have its own spawns for everything
